Via ferrata is a perfect blend of hiking and climbing! If you've got a good level of fitness, it's a great way to try fixed cable-way routes and summit Slovenia's highest mountain!
Today is your arrival day in Bled where you will be staying at a local hostel. If you arrive early in the day, you can go for a swim in the lake, or walk up to the viewpoint. In the evening, you'll meet the rest of the team before heading out for a drink or dinner (optional and not included in the price).
We'll pick you up and you'll start by trekking through Krma Valley. We'll stop for lunch and then trek up towards the Kredarica plateau and finally Triglavski Mountain Hut. In the evening, you can relax over dinner, and watch the sunset over the mountain tops, if the weather allows.
After breakfast, you'll get started with a climbing part of the via ferrata section. This is a 400 m-long section of safety cables. Equipped with a harness and gear, you will clip onto the cables to climb up the rock. Don't worry but have in mind that it's a climb and the guides are fantastic at making you feel confident and safe!
Shortly after completing the via ferrata section, you'll reach the summit of Slovenia's highest mountain, with its incredible panoramic views. After some time for photos, you'll head back down first to the hut and then back to the valley and be driven back to Bled. You can choose to stay longer in Bled or we'll drop you at the bus station which runs local transfers until 7 pm.

A fantastic trip. Anita and Franz were great guides. I learnt a lot about the surrounding area of the Julian Alps and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I look forward to going back to Slovenia to see a bit more

I had a fantastic experience on this Triglav hike. The guide was very friendly and good at making us confident. We had good quality equippment. Only comment regarding the meals. It says half-board but we did not receive any breakfast on the first day, nor could we buy some at the start of the hike. Yo be on the save side i had bought bread so i could quickely eat while walking at the start of the hike, at 6 AM. It would be great to clarify which meals we have to take with us, which ones are available to buy from the huts and which ones are covered in the price.

Amazing trip great scenery with a tough hike but we were always in safe hands with our guide Blaz

Awesome experience, the most fun I've had this year. Our guide Blaz was excellent, fun, and (importantly) safety-conscious.

I would recommend doing the trip with a group of friends but probably not if you are a solo traveller as the enjoyability largely depends on the group and guide. If the weather is bad you will be in the hut for the whole afternoon / evening with not much to do. The room we were given was so small only one person could stand up, all the beds were pushed together. You do not have an option to pay for a separate room, even if you are the only female in a tiny room with men or offer to pay for every bed in an empty room. The guide wasn’t happy to I had asked. There is no water at the hut and a small bottle of water is €3. No water is included in the evening meal. The mountain was beautiful and the scenery incredible. Climbing to the top was a great experience.
