I was fortunate to be able to obtain this bcg at a not too inflated price from PSA. The given is that EVERYTHING costs more in the current climate. But this was still a reasonable price point. And, being a PSA offering, the quality is excellent. This is my third PSA build. I changed out the birdcage for a Guntec flash can (it does makes a difference for the better) and a splash of color with the charging handle. It is a very accurate shooter using only the inexpensive iron sights I bought for it. Have put only hundred rounds though it so far and no hiccups.

Gas key screws were torked at 25lbs, no stake

Gas key was completely out of spec. Staking was a joke (barely there) and screws broke lose at 25lbs. Mail-spec gas key screw tork specs are 50-58lbs. This is probably while they were blems. If you buy make sure to replace gas key, replace screws with ocks screws and stake properly.

It checks out. I always thoroughly inspect and clean a new component before using it, didn’t find any flaws. Looks good lubed up, functions as it should in a new rifle, single shots and rapid-firing 10-20 rounds. Everything’s tight, straight and lines up. Proper staking. The smith at one of our local shops said Toolcraft manufactures good BCG’s. This is the first one I’ve bought I can agree with his sentiment. In my experiences PSA doesn’t always ship products in the best packaging, this was an exception it was securely packed clean in the manufacturer’s tube and shipped in a box with plenty of shock-absorbing paper filler.
