If anyone has suggestions on a source for a replacement rear sight assembly (Yes, I have contacted Hatsan) or the size Picatinny rail to get so I can add a red dot, fire away.
Pros
Power is impressive, as is accuracy.
Cons
Upon unboxing, I notoced the rear sight assembly was canted a bit. Hatsan CS said it happens, try tightening it up a bit. Tightened but no difference. Then the entire rear sight assembly fell off and disappeared into a time vortex. What I said about accuracy? Not so valid now. Yes, I know, use Loctite next time....
The break barrel does take some strength to operate on this one.
Pros
This gun is fantastic. It is powerful. It is accurate. I love the strut construction, The sites on the gun are very helpful to use. I am really glad I chose the .22 caliber. It really packs a punch.
Cons
The gun is more like a rifle size than a pistol. It is huge.
THE HOLSUN RED DOT SIGHT, NOT IMPRESSED. MOUNTED THE RED DOT, NOT VERY ADJUSTABLE.
Pros
LIKE THE FACT YOU CAN HAVE LEFT HANDED GRIPS
Cons
THE REAR SIGHT IS VERY FLIMSY, MADE FROM PLASTIC., NOT VERY ACCURATE AT 10 YARDS. I AM USING CROSSMAN PREMIER HOLLOW POINT PELLETS
ITs powerful enough to shatter a glass bottle i have the .22 version
Pros
Its good quality as far as i can tell so far an seems pretty powerful for a pistol
Cons
It is a bit big and not exactly pistol sized
when I received this air pistol, I took it down to my basement range (15yrds)
I noticed the mechanism bound up when cocking like it was hitting a stop (but it cocked sucessfully)
It shot well near bullseye
The second shot, I felt a small grinding while cocking - another decent shot
I took it to my shop and found the bar going back to the piston was hitting the 2 side screws holding the fore stock
The screws were longer than necessary and protruding through 2-3 mm (1/8in) and the transfer bar was hitting them
I filed them down, reassembled the gunand it would have been great --- but wait, the threads were too weak and stripped
I peened the threads in the welded tabs to at least get some purchase on the screws
The metal is crazy soft and you can barely snug the mounting screws (even) when new
I'm a competent machinist and have disassembled/repaired many mechanical devices in my 75 years, but this was irritating.
I own 7 airguns (and 10 firearms) including 3 Hatsans this is a first
Pros
shoots well - plenty of power
Cons
The metal threaded frame tabs to hold stock on are one time use
Well worth the money.
Pros
Solid build, feels good in the hand. hits hard! (.22) Easy to load.
Cons
The safety trigger is a bit strange, but you get used to it.
Pros
Love my new pistol. Accurate at 30 yards. The safety features are great. I particularly like the scope stop. I have had trouble with the scope traveling in the past. The red dot optical you suggested seems to be holding up but it is newly added.
Cons
Fixed sights are not exact enough.
The gun itself is a little larger than I had hoped but never got to see one first hand before ordering so not really a complaint. For a pistol with a barrel break cocking it probably would be to hard to operate if any smaller. I am having fun with it so far.
Pros
So far I have only put about 100 rounds through it. but first impressions are good. It is as hard hitting as I had hoped. seems to like the heavier pellets.
Cons
The sights although fully adjustable seem a little flimsy. Time will tell.
Pros
This thing hits hard! Iron sights are pretty decent, though way off out of the box. Added a Hawke red dot and the thing is surgical throwing Crosman hollow points. Am looking forward to putting some NSA slugs through it!
Question?

asked Perry from USAWhat do I need to mount a red dot sight and does anyone recommend one.
asked Michael from USAYou can mount a 11 mm base red dot right on the gun. Most red dots are weaver base, You might need an adapter like AGD-A7424 $7.99
Mark from USAOn the hatsan 25 how hard is it to achieve the same Accuracy between springer and vortex models for a Single individual Shooting both models
asked Bill c from USAThe guns will shoot very much the same. There is very little difference between a gas piston or spring powered version.
Mark from USAWhat type of a holster can you recommend for this air pistal ?
asked atul from USAAnyone know what this clip is in front of the rear sight. I thought it was a scope stop? Not all of these guns have it. Maybe something the factory uses to align the sights?
asked FredThats what i use it for ,topped a racoon at least 75 yds away, yes,i was shocked too!
Joseph from USAI was wondering the same thing. I think it helps with elevation for the rear sight but not sure.
Timothy from USAIs this pistol legal in Canada?
asked Peter from USAAnyone know where I can obtain a new rear sight? Took mine off long ago to avoid fit issues w/ BSA red dot scope. Of course we moved in that time span. I'm tired of looking...

Pros
This thing packs a wall up and was extremely easy to side in. Within just a few shots I was getting a 3-in group at 100 ft. That's with open sights! Haven't put a scope on it. Don't think I need to.
Cons
It's a bit long but that keeps it accurate. A bit hard to cock, but very powerful.
