We believe there’s no reason you should have to manage speed hiking with a trail running shoe just because your hiking boots are too big and clunky. HOKA ONE ONE flexed their trail running expertise in the design of the Sky Toa Boot—an ultralight speed-hiker which ensures you can navigate your favorite thru-hikes at your desired pace without sacrificing crucial ankle support. Our favorite feature is the GORE-TEX lining which ensures your socks stay dry regardless of stream crossings.

So so satisfaction
Purchased in early winter and still need to wait for warmer weather to make any comments on comfort. The times I have used they seem comfortable. My hesitation to wear them however is more the issue. They are boats....big, huge, boats. I put them on and want to change into other shoes because of their size. Comfort is not the only consideration. Hoka did replace the first pair purchased because the color I purchased was too bold - thought I could pull off. Perhaps this is my fault to not realize the parameters of my taste. I want to like these shoes because of the Hoka name and what people have said about them, but I can't get past the design detail. Questions below as usual don't cover the entire truth. Fit and width feels fine, but also don't factor in shoe size.

Another great shoe
This is the 5th and 6th pair of Hoka's I've purchased in the last 18 months or so. The comfort and quality are great. I do wish I waited a couple weeks to get the free hat though.

Love Hoka shoes
I have more than one pair of Hoka shoes. I love these for hiking and my others for walking. This is my 3rd pair.

Phenomenally SUPERB Footwear
I have purchased 2 pairs of sneakers AND these Hiking Boots!! I am in heaven and walking/hiking on the clouds! These are THE MOST TERRIFIC hiking boots I have EVER had. I live in Alaska and these are OUTSTANDING here in the current SNOWY weather! They remain dry and comfy!

highly recommend
I purchased this shoe in 2019, and in late April of 2021, had the chance to really test them on a 2-night backpacking trip in Tahoe. Since it was end of spring, smaller lakes were still entirely frozen over, and a good amount of the trail was snow-covered, with snow melt flowing over other parts of the trail. It was not super warm either, so wet feet would have been no fun. I didn't have that problem, however, since these kept my feet completely dry the entire trip. These are so comfortable, I never once thought about my feet even though we hiked for long stretches on both days. Out of the box, my usual shoe size (Women's US 7) felt roomy and potentially too large, but in practice, I didn't feel they were too big at all. They also performed well on all kinds of terrain, and overall were such a no-brainer, that I could focus on the hike and not think about any gear/footwear issues.

My 5th pair of HOKA mid-hikers!
I'm a senior hiker who is out on the trails (with my fur kid) everyday. A torn post-tib tendon 6 years ago almost side-lined me, then I discovered HOKAs. I still have (& often wear) my first pair of TOR Summits, but my favorites are now the TOA GTX. So I bought a second pair (in blue)!!

Not for my Morton's Neuroma
These shoes are so highly rated that I had to give them a shot, but unfortunately I have Morton's Neuroma and these did not bode well with me. I also found that they run large and even exchanged for a half size down to see if that'd make a difference and it didn't. My feet were in pain and numb after about the 2nd mile of hiking - which I suspected they would be as soon as I put them on at home (I could tell when the ball of my foot went numb just after wearing them at home for a few minutes!). They're also kinda clunky, to be honest. I did like the color of the blue ones but the pink/maroon ones looked different in the pictures than in person. I'm disappointed since I really wanted these to work! But have to keep looking.

These hiking boots feel great.
I'm planing a hiking vacation, I have high arches and tried the Moab 2, hiking boots - Hokas feel better. I've been hiking 6-7 miles, several time a week, this isn't 20 miles but hoping they will feel as good after 20.

I would buy this product again and again
These are my third pair of hoka's and they never dissappoint. They fit great, flexible, light and never pinch! I love them!
