Accidentally ordered this little guy thinking it was the hl-x which I have on my other guns. This little guy takes a single cr123 or AA battery vs the hl-x single 18650 or 2x cr123. While definitely not as bright as the hl-x it's not bad. It also has a much more concentrated beam so more throw, less flood. Has all the usual surefire settings high, low, strobe and comes with the usual pressure pad. I have this mounted on a pistol and its smaller size and weight are actually beneficial. It also comes with a free 45° mlok mount which was a nice surprise although I had to get a 45 pic rail mount. As you can see in the picture it's slightly longer than a pop can so you can see the size. I also included a Pic of the pattern at roughly 5 ft

SUPER disappointed in Palmetto! I ordered and paid for two of these lights. When the box came, only one was inside. The box was clearly not tampered with and there was enough packing material for only one light. I understand mistakes happen but instead of sending me another light, they just refunded my money yet they still have them on their website. Now, I have to pay the shipping if I still want the second one. Mistakes happen but make your customers whole if you want continued business.

So far this light has performed well enough as a light -- caveat being I've yet to actually flat range test it's durability. I don't suspect issues though, being my rifle is a 20" 5.56 AR. If anything, the *mounting* setup in the pic along with said review would be the weak link, and using more modern systems like a quad rail or an MOE hand-guard would obviously perform better.Now, the light itself works as a light, obviously; I cannot comment on the quality of the light, nor it's performances against other 'tactical' lights for rifles and the like as this one is the only one I've owned, but what I can mention is it uses AAs as well as those cr123A batteries. That is important I believe as the performance is noticeably better using the cr123A battery, but a pack of AAs you can find easily in stores, in packs ranging from five to twenty or more, for relatively cheap and you will have batteries for days for your light.That is *the* reason I'd recommend this; compatibility with admittedly worse, but *far* more common power sources.

Like most Streamlight products, this is a pretty solid weapon light at a very reasonable price. Everything you need is included. Pressure switch, picatinny mounts, end cap, battery, zip-ties. The light may not be the brightest, but it is more than adequate for CQB applications. The strobe function and High/Low are nice options to have. The light itself is pretty tough and well built. The Momentary/Sustained On/Off pressure switch mounts solidly to a Picatinny rail with the provided mounting hardware. You may need a small section of rail for the light to mount to depending on the type of fore end on your long gun. Hard to beat for the price.

Can’t go wrong with this light. Three settings: constant, pressure constant, and pressure strobe. Blinding is the light! Super easy to installl. M-Lok hand guard users need a small picatinny to mount the light. The pressure pad can either adhere (very strong) to the tape or use the picatinny rubber moldings. At $100, I recommend buying this for all of your long guns.

Great weapon light system for the price. Comes with everything needed to mount to the rifle, although it's not shown in the pics, it does come with an mlok offset mount.
