Packable Protection
Waterproof, exceptionally packable gaiters for minimalist adventures. Made with three-layer GORE-TEX fabric featuring recycled materials and a PFAS-free durable water repellent, they move with the foot for breathable protection in rain and snow. A water-resistant AquaGuard® coil zipper maintains flexibility and comfort. This versatile, protective gaiter is ideal for use in wet climates when keeping weight low is essential and on waterproof footwear like GORE-TEX hiking shoes or boots.

Too Fragile To Be Functional
Do not purchase these gaiters if you plan on using them with any sort of traction device whether that be snowshoes, microspikes or crampons. Used them twice with snowshoes while ascending some summits and the fabric and stitching is wearing out where the gaiters come in contact with the snowshoe bindings. Also got a hole on the instep as there is no durable material on the instep. I don't really understand the point of this product as they can't be used with snow traction devices which is the only time one would likely need waterproof gaiters. Do yourself a favor and buy some other gaiters, unless you just plan on wearing these with snow boots in your backyard. No seam tape on the stiching.

The perfect gaiter for the job - and a US company
I bought my first Kahtoola gaiters for an 18 day hiking safari in Tanzania. The terrain was more suited for hiking shoes.I needed gaiters to keep small gravel, sand, leaves and foliage out of you shoes. The Kahtoola RENAgaiter was the perfect gaiter for the job. Plus they pack flat, the material is exactly what I was looking for. The best made, I would buy them again without any second thought. Now I was looking for a pair of gaiters for 6 weeks of hiking in New Zealand. One hike the Milford Track this 36 mile trek was through rain, creek crossings, muddy trails and possible snow. So I am wearing boots this time, I shopped for a new pair of gaiters for boots and the elements I was expecting. After my excellent experience with Kahtoola I know where I was going look. I knew what terrain I was going to be in and I wanted a light weight but tough gaiter. The LEVAgaiter GTX Tall Ultralight gaiter has all the features and benefits that I was looking for. They packed in a small bag for traveling. The material is GoreTex for excellent water resistance, plus very flexible and lightweight. I used them for a few weeks prior to the trip, hiking the Sedona AZ trails. I loved them. No buckles to catch branches or collect mud or Velcro to load up with mud. The tall was just the right height for this trip. Bottom line there are the perfect set of the trip at hand. I haven’t been able to wear them out yet, I would definitely buy them again

Love these!
Our search ended with these gaiters. They were just what we were looking for. Lightweight, easy on and off and waterproof . The true test will be on our winter Camino but I expect good results from these as they have performed well on our test hikes.
