Great MTB pants, with casual look

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

These are perfect for spring, fall ridding. The fit is correct, and the pockets are good for a phone/keys. After many washes and rides, they are still in great shape.

Very, VERY close to perfect

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

First, I'm 6'1", 200lbs, 32/32 in Levi's and the medium size is the best, not too tight over the knee pads (& help keep the knee pads in place), and fit great at the hips with both regular and padded liner shorts. I ordered the large as well and they're ridiculously big. Great to pedal in and I'm really impressed by the resistant DWR coating. Water is still beading off after several wet rides and washes. It doesn't take much to get my temperature up even on the colder days and I was surprised how well these breathe. The only thing I don't like about these is the ankle zips, I don't think they're needed and zippers are the first thing to break. I know what the ad says but, like the other reviewer stated, I don't think you'll be putting on or taking off knee pads with the pants on. Still not enough to dock it a star though (at least until the ankle zipper breaks.)

These might be my favorite pants

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

While I have only had them for a bit, i think these pants rock. The fit is perfect, they are light and super stretchy, they are so comfortable that I could see doing yoga or going rock climbing in them. I am a medium for most things, but I am a 30x30 in pants. I got the small size and its great. Only thing that I haven't tried yet is getting knee pads on without having to take the pants off first. Even with the zip cuff on the hem of the pant leg I am thinking its gonna be a tight squeeze to slide pads under them.

My husband is very excited about these

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My husband owns a few pairs of the slickrock shorts and was very excited to try the pants. He was looking for a lightweight pant that vented better than the pair of POC pants he has. He's really happy with the fit, venting zips, the zippered pocket style and the length. He bought a L and XL and ended up going with the large.

New Batch is Larger than Last Year Batch

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I already have 4 pairs of these pants that I bought back last year and love them. The new one seems to be the same but they are larger, almost 1 size larger. Length and overall width is larger. Both Last year and this years pants were both Large Size. The zippers also lost the backcountry logo on the black grab handle and now just show YKK (just as good if not the same).

4/5 ****

first pair of bike specific pants for me. Almost checks all the boxes. Vents on the hips keep it breathable enough to pedal in. fit is pretty dialed, slim but good length for me at 6'3". waist has a hook loop thing on your hip rather than a typical button that works really well. tight at the cuff to keep the pants out of the way. too tight for knee pads though. Most folks riding in pants are probably wearing knee pads right? I have to either put the pads on at home or change in the parking lot, too tight to slide pads up once the pants are on. not the end of the world but would be nice to have a bit more room from the knees down to make that easier

More Than MTB Pants

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I know these say MTB pants, but I've found them to be the ultimate hiking/backpacking pants as well. First off, they look great. They're tight in the legs, form-fitting, and comfortable. They dry off great (see how soaked they got in the image), are super-lightweight, and the built-in belt on the side is great for packs that have waist buckles. I lived (like 24/7 for a few weeks) in these for the first few, cold hundreds miles of Appalachian Trail, and they never let me down.

Favorite Shoulder Season Pants

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

They are very lightweight pants that are perfect for those in-between season rides where the trails may still be muddy but the temps are starting to raise back up. I love the side venting zipper that also alows you to pass a phone through if you have liners with the thigh pockets.

Sizing

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'll write more once i put these through their paces but as for sizing. I'm a 32 across the board. Prana, MH, BD, Arc - everything. the Mediums barely, and I mean barely fit. Size up.

Much Pant, Such Wow, Many Functional

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I bought these for mountain biking in the autumn and winter months. For reference I?m 5?6 140lbs and bought a small. They fit perfectly and I can slide my knee pads underneath them. They are on the slimmer side as you can see in the marketing photos. The zippered hem lets you close them up to keep out the cold and there are zippered thigh vents when you get hot. The zippered pockets keep things in and the DWR coating keeps the moisture out. They block the chilly air when you?re blasting through the trails and also provide a protective layer if (when) you crash and burn. I haven?t crashed in them yet so I don?t know how durable the material will hold up.
