Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 EBR-2D MRAD (FFP) PST-5257

The EBR-2D is my new favorite reticle. It is definitely an upgrade from the EBR-2C which has poorly placed elevation numbers. The glass is on par with my Viper HST. Which is good. The turrets are nice, but less audible and less tactile than the gen 1 turrets which were only 5 mils per rotation. Surprisingly, mine has 26 mils of elevation (6 more than advertised)! Power ring is stiff and the grip on it is much worse than my HST. If you're going to move the adjustment in a hurry you'll want to add a throw lever. Overall, it was a nice scope at a good price.

I prefer the EBR-2D reticle on this model because it does not have an open dot center, like the others. The eye-box is very good. The glass quality is also very good. I still see a fair bit of CA at maximum magnification, but the resolution is still quite good. The turrets have a tactile click, and they track well. The zero stop is great, and one of my favorite features of this scope. I do wish that the turrets locked down a little better than the set screw design allows. I would complain that the illumination isn't daylight bright, but I never use it anyway, so it's a non-issue for me.

Received mine a few weeks back. Installed it on my 6.5 Creedmoor. 1 inch low and 2 inches to the left. Easy and quick adjustment allowed for fast setup. Nice optics. Great price!!!

Good scope at good price . I prefer sfp scopes as reticle gets to small under 10x , but don't plan shooting at short distances with the rifle I mounted it on. So works perfectly for this particular setup. Thanks euro optic for the excellent price!

First of all, I'm writing this review for anyone who may question Eurooptic's low price on these models. I was skeptical at first but I went ahead and ordered it anyway. The delivery was on time and much sooner than I expected. The scope was well-packaged and even the actual box itself was in pristine condition - no scratches, dents or whatsoever. The scope itself is really nice and personally, I would say the clarity is comparable to Razor Gen HD but with less than half the price. I mounted the scope on my Gen 3 RPR 6.5 CM and took it out to the range to ZERO it. I was immediately blown away with the clarity of its glass. The zero stop was on point and pretty easy to adjust. Got the scope zeroed at 100 yards with 3 rounds, then went ahead and shot at 200 yards with elevation and windage adjustment made based on my bullet data. Shots were on point and grouping was sub-MOA. Then I brought my elevation back to zero for 100 yards, still held the shots it accurately. The EBR-2D was not an issue at all and I actually l like it. The sub-tensions are on point as well. The illumination on the reticle can also be seen even at bright daylight and white background (max brightness) Be aware though that the reticle illumination is a little finicky. I had issues with it not turning on but I figured out that you do not need to push the battery all the way. It has been working since then and I'm not even worried because Vortex has the best warranty out there. Also, you can easily scratch the battery cap so make sure that you actually use a coin to loosen it. Overall, I personally think this is a GREAT buy given that you won't be able to find these models cheaper than what EO is selling them for. I absolutely love this scope and everything about it! Can't wait to take it out beyond 300 yards. Bottom line: You'll love this scope and won't regret it! Thanks Eurooptic!

Best scope you can find under a $1000, Glass is clear and visible all the way to sundown. Wish Vortex made some better lens caps. I can't imagine they cost that much. Having a hard time finding the right size. Installed it on my Smith & Wesson MP10 65 Creedmoor. I can easily see targets beyond 500 yards.

*Disclaimer* Have not been able to zero yet, only mount and boresight due to winter. Optic: Love the optic, there is a reason why the pst gen 2 5-25x is the standard or minimum bar for long range range and/or precision. The glass is great. Very bright and crisp with no noticable CA. The ebr-2d reticle is the step in the right dorection predecessor to the newer ebr-7 reticles by moving the mil/moa markings to the outside of the windage tree markings and deleting the open center crosshair. Damn good illumination for a high power ffp scope (though not daylight bright, but that's not necessary for this type of scope). My only cons so far is the illumination knob is damned stiff (I rarely use it anyway) and it NEEDS a mag throw lever/cat tail, so figure that into the cost as well (I prefer MKMachining's due to the 'teeth' that fit into the magnification rings grooves). Eurooptic: Great and quick customer support, shipping and prices. Awesome company.

It came in one piece and great condition. Loved the durability feel of the scope. The only thing was the shipping never really updated once it left PA. Other than that great experience.

Its phenominal!

Like my Viper alot. Mounted it on a Tikka T3x 6.5 Creedmoor heavy barrel. Used Vortex Pro PR30-L rings and the scope fit perfect! Not sure I like the D reticle with elevation numbers way to the right. With a 100yd zero and ballistic sheet printed with m.v. off box of 140 ELD Match I was hitting steel at 200, 400, and 600.

Very tight knobs, especially the illumination reticle knob. Other than that, glass is very clear and reticle is outstanding. Solid scope!

Have only mounted up the scope but love it so far. Been looking for quite a while for an optic that fit my needs. Compared all the major brands at this price point and ultimately went with the Vortex due to Europtics killer price! Have it mounted on a precision 22lr build and it looks great! Turrets are crisp and audible, glass is clear all the way through the zoom range. Just need time to get out to the range.
