Pretty happy with it
Bought this before a 7 week bikepacking trip to Thailand/Laos, 1500 miles and it held up well. I had it between drop bars so I only had a couple changes of clothes and a pack chair strapped to it but it did what it was supposed to do. My only real dislikes were that the bar mount straps are sewn on so you’re locked in to that configuration when mounting everything off your bars. Also this bag does not have an air release valve which I felt could have been nice to cut down on the inevitable bulk from the roll up closures.
Built-in harness reduces volume. No air valve.
Extra webbing on the front is nice for holding extra items, but the attachment for handlebar is sewn into the bag so you need to remove the whole bag from the frame to access items. Also when you strap the bag to your handlebars it curves around the handlebar so you don't get the whole cylindrical volume of the bag, more of a half cylinder. Air valve would also be really nice to reduce size, I usually end up with items flopping around the sides because I couldn't get all the air out. Save yourself some money and get a handlebar bag with an air valve and separate harness.
Perfect in every way
So glad to finally have this on my bike. It’s a perfect fit and fits so beautifully on my frame. It’s durable and survived a beating in the bush with ease. Nice and streamlined and not bulky at all. So happy with the Revelate designs durability and high quality.
Not what I wanted
It's blocky. Cumbersome. Not a necessary piece of equipment IMHO.
