Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Do I even own any other clothes?
I've had this sweater for 14 days, and I've worn it for at least 10 of them. I think I wore it 4 days before I even washed it, it was so soft out of the package. I bought the XL for a roomier feel--I read the reviews about the neck being excessive, and yes, there is a gusset. I went ahead and purchased though, thinking that if I wanted to, I'd just cut that part out. But, the reviews didn't mention how soft the fabric is there! So, I just open all of the buttons and there's plenty of room, plus it's like a cozy hug near your face. The natural color is on it's way to my house now too. Just get it, the price tag is worth it!
Awesome pullover after DIY alteration
Like some other reviewers, the collar gusset just wasn’t working for me. When buttoned up all the way, the top of the collar kept hitting my neck, which drives me crazy! You can unbutton a few of the buttons, but then the collar just sort of hangs awkwardly. It doesn’t really work to fold down the collar either, that also looks strange. But I loved the hemp/cotton fabric and the fit so I decided to take a pretty big risk and carefully cut the gusset fabric out using fabric scissors…kinda scary when you’ve just spent $85 on what is essentially a nice sweatshirt. Thankfully the alteration worked perfectly and now I can just fold the collar down and out of the way. The button placket is a non-stretch cotton fabric tape and the other side of the gusset is sewn to a substantial seam, so there’s no real chance of the sweater fraying or tearing once it’s cut as long as you keep your cuts as close as possible to the placket and other seam. So just know that if you’re on the fence because of the collar design, it’s really not a huge deal to just cut the gusset out. IMO it’s now an awesome pullover, 5/5.
FAVORITE pullover
I have multiple Patagonia pullovers like this and this one is my favorite! Its cute and the perfect length - I am an athletic 185 lbs and 5'10" and got a L and it is loose but not baggy or frumpy. I have a short torso and long legs so its difficult to find flattering comfortable yet attractive clothes for everyday wear. I pair this with jeans and Blundstones and I have a super cute outfit. Not sure if it is super warm, but I feel like it would be under a coat as a base layer. I agree with below reviews that the neck it sort of weird, but it almost gives it a uniqueness that I haven't found in other similar pullovers that look standard and boring.
Love it, especially the neckline
I’m surprised by all of the reviews saying they don’t like the neckline. That drew me to this sweater in the store! I love that it doesn’t open with the buttons. It makes it so much warmer, and on me, it’s like a cowl neck, the opening is big enough that it isn’t brushing up against my face, but keeps me so much warmer! Maybe some reviewers aren’t unbuttoning the sweater, so it feels more restrictive? Just undo a couple buttons, and it’s the perfect size opening. It also looks super cute. This sweater is so cozy. I do wish the back of the sweater was a little longer. I can’t believe I bought 2 at this price, but I couldn’t help myself in the store. Gotta love REI.
Beautiful color selection, just wish it was longer
I love this in the burnt orange and the green, the cream is even beautiful. I just wish it was longer. The length is weird because it's right between a crop and a "normal" length. It's not cropped enough to tuck into a high waist pant (which would be weird with the pocket anyway), but not long enough to truly look oversized, as the rest of the sweater suggests. I have naturally wide hips, and this cuts me just above my widest point. Please make this exact sweater, but longer. A true oversized sweater like this would be IDEAL.
Amazing apparently
My wife loves this sweater so much I'm writing a review about it. She wears it all the time. After she first wore it she told me how great it was in 3 separate conversations. I think that means she wants it in other colors.
Runs a bit large
I’m 148 lbs, 5’8”, and somewhere between a large and a medium. I ordered this in a large but had to return for a medium. I love the material, buttons, the color but the fit was off. I thought of cutting off the inside neck flap like one reviewer did but instead went through the trouble of returning and reordering in a medium. I’m glad I did - the smaller size solved most of the fit issues.
Cozy and Cute
I just received this item in nutmeg a couple days ago and haven't taken it off. It's very cute and comfortable, makes me look more put together than wearing a sweatshirt. It runs a little large but i prefer it for this top. I am definitely ordering in another color.
my absolute favorite everyday layer
I bought an olive one early in the winter and basically lived in it. Perfect temperature at all times no matter how or if I’m layering it. Can be used year round. Super soft. I’ve since purchased a second in white and in a smaller size to wear this spring. I’m ordering two more so I’ll have one in xS for spring and to wear with jeans and two S to wear with additional layers in winter and with leggings. I’m so excited about the transition to using more natural fibers wherever possible. I hope this continues.
I’m in love and I don’t even care who knows it!!
I had to have this when I saw it even though the neck doesn’t actually open when unbuttoned. I got the red and it’s so comfy-coze I may never take it off. I’m in love and I don’t even care who knows it!! I’m 5’1 and weigh 115 and usually order medium, but I took a chance on the small and I’m glad I did. Hope this helps anyone on the fence.
