I have been using air sleeping mat from Thermarest for many yeart, the last one is xlite which is super light, warm and very durable, works well for five years by now. I bought this xtherm for deep winter camping, it is very very warm , just bit heavier than my Xlite. the fabric on bottom is thicker than xlite, so it will be more durable. I bought the large size and use it as my cold weather pad. The warmth to weight ratio is amazing and I have no complaints. The pad is a little noisy, but every pad I've owned is as well. The inflation valve easily lets the pad inflate and deflate.

It's a great pad. The blow up bag thing isn't very practical. I think it takes more effort to blow up the pad with the inflator/storage bag than it takes to simply blow it up the old fashioned way. Everything else I read, heard and imagined about the pad turned out to be true. Yep, it's a bit noisy and yes it's super comfy, light, and compact. My only wish is that it could be a... Read more
Used a thermarest guide for years. But going UL and 4-season required this. Perfect down to 22F so far under a tarp with tyvex ground cover. Pack the blow up bag unless you like passing out inflating this saweet piece of kit up, plus it doubles as a stuff sack for your sleeping bag. Tip: don't overinflated.
