Racing or cruising? You decide on this sleek, super-fast tourer. Imagine how freeing it will feel knowing that you have everything you need for a weekend's paddling all in the one backpack. Our range of Sport inflatable SUPs are designed for paddlers who want to up their game from our Ride range. They offer enhanced performance, super speed and plenty of class. Whether you're heading out on a solo voyage, or spending time with friends, this board will appeal to your sense of adventure.

The 12'6″ is the longest board in our Sport range. It provides the most glide and speed whilst still being easy to paddle. It's also a great board to bridge the gap to our race boards. The 30″ width still offers stability, so you'll feel perfectly at ease on longer touring trips and ergonomic tubular handles on all boards to give a cushioned, comfy grip when carrying your board. If you're looking for a board that will eat up the miles in a leisurely fashion, then look no further.

Improved RSS battens

Now in a bright colour so they cannot be forgotten at set up, rounded leading edge for improved ease of insertion and new pure material which is more durable and also recyclable. The ergonomic tubular handles give a cushioned, comfy grip when carrying your board.

Adjustable Cargo System

A new and improved cargo system has one adjustable bungee strap and two flat elastic straps. A twin d-ring locking system allows easy adjustment and release and the small loop is ideal for water bottle storage.

ATB Transformer Bag

Introducing a total redesign of our all terrain backpack that offers a bagless carry system. This skeleton system means you can access more remote waterways without the need for a bulky bag and just take the straps and your pump. When using the bag, large all terrain wheels make handling rugged terrain a breeze and considered anthropometric design is able to be fully customised to your height so you can take maximum care of your body while under load. Large exterior pockets can fit any quick to grab essentials and velcro interior pocket means your paddle blade is safe and secure. The interior material has a stylish Red repeater pattern and its water resistance will minimise any intrusive damp. Additional internal storage for small items and keeping your service kit on hand.

All Sport boards come with a durable fin - slotted into the fin box easily by hand and secured in place with a finger bolt. For a high-performing SUP board package, look no further than the 12'6'' Sport.

How to store your board

Your board should be stored in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight and either rolled up and stored in the bag, If storing for a long time without use, make sure you ease the tightness of the roll so that there isn't lots of pressure going through the strap into the board, especially near the fin box if you have one of these. It may also be an idea to store the pump separately if you do have the space for this.

If you are hoping to keep your board inflated, we recommend keeping this on a flat surface or upright (not kept on a rack for a long duration) to prevent changes to the shape of the board. If you are not going to use it for a while you should reduce the pressure to below 15psi and keep your board in the cool and dry.

Before you pack your board away though, it is particularly important that you rinse everything in fresh water (Board/Bag/Paddle/Pump/Leash etc) and allow to dry completely before packing it away.

How to roll your board

Firstly, we recommend having your All-Terrain Bag open and ready to go, with your board deflated and your board strap nearby.

Place your pump at the nose of the board, leaving a little bit of room around the nose so that you can wrap this over the pump, this will help keep the pump secure and in place.

Roll the board around the pump, keeping the pump as square as possible with the rails of the board. The tighter you roll your board, the easier it will be to fit in your All Terrain Bag - but avoid putting too much tension around features like the fin box (if your board has removable fins).

Once you have finished rolling your board, grab you board strap and wrap this around to secure.

When you place your board in the All-Terrain Bag, you will find a strap attached to the inside of the bag. Fixing this around the board will help with board movement when out exploring.

Laminate: the reinforced composite coating is bonded to the textile core using machine welding that applies heat and pressure to the inner PVC layer, saving over 2kg of adhesives and reducing cosmetic and safety concerns. Produced under low tension, this process creates a torsional stiffening effect when the boards are inflated, making MSL® stiffer at lower pressures.

Even great for tricks

I love this board so much. My canoeing buddies told me that it looked like I was glued to the board. The REDREDRED tread is the reason. It's narrow, but not tippy. Also, running rivers in early summer when the water level is a bit too low was a breeze. Walking up, walking back depending on what's happening from shallow bits to white water, you can make quick adjustments, even swinging the board in 360s for fun. This is so worth the price--especially if you get a couple of fin options, from stubs to longs. Plus the colours and style make this the sup version of a sneakerhead's dream shoe

12’6” Sport MSL

This is my third Red inflatable SUP and the product continues to surprise with its quality, utility and overall “fun value”. I am competitive paddle and bought this board to complement my 10’ Surfer and 12’6” Voyager. I took it for its test ride on Ullswater in flat conditions and I am very happy with the performance. Inflated well under 10 minutes, it held its line, glided very nicely and was easy to make it run at a decent stroke-rate. I had my 45 lb border collie on the front without much of a change in handling or glide. The shape is decidedly more “dagger” like than the Voyager and it runs differently as a result, less like a Land Rover Discovery and more like a Porsche Cayenne. I feel it would be easy to take gear for a 1-2 nighter light expedition, perhaps even with the dog.

Excellent first board for the heavier crew.

This is my first SUP and I have had it twelve months now. It has had a lot of use on canals, sea and rivers in all weather conditions except ice! At 98Kgs I am a heavier paddler and I sought advice from Red. The 12'6 is an incredible board, very buoyant and fairly quick. I love the pump and the build quality although the stainless fittings need regular oiling to prevent them rusting, in the screw threads particularly.

I use a deck bag and carry a weight of gear but always find the board comfortable and easy to manage. I have a few third party fins and an additional one piece paddle but the three piece paddle still gets regular use.

Great straight line board

Bought this board to compliment my Red 9'6" Compact. Wanted a straight line cruiser that can eat up the miles in a more efficient manner (on mainly rivers) and it doesn't disappoint. It goes in a straight line which is what I wanted. Noticeable glide. The build quality of the whole package is really high: The pump is improved on the earlier model and the bag is very practical. Only cons I noticed was comparing it with my compact 9'6" is I preferred the offset centre handle on the compact. New board is heavier and its not as easy to carry with handle in the centre. Little bit more strain on my carrying arm. Anything over a 150 m walk I would suggest inflating it where you will be launching from. Use the practical backpack options instead! I am yet to go out in perfect conditions with new board as It has been quite windy. Re that I do think the Compact is a lot better in windy, rougher conditions. It turns quicker and the wind doesn't quite catch the nose so I will be using that when the conditions are less than ideal however the 12'6 is a great speed board and I and really looking forward to taking it out in optimum conditions. Its also very buoyant and when sitting down and resting on it the deck seems to be drier (maybe due to thickness) I think the two boards do compliment each other really well and you are well covered for whatever your needs are. Overall I think I will be very happy with my latest Red paddle Board. Well worth the investment. Needless to say the…
