I have been using a springer break-barrel .177 and decided to invest in this in .22 for squirrels. First thing, remove your barrel and clean it GOOD. It looked clean, but I got all kinds of gunk out of it. I've done the full series of mods from the YouTube series, including a heavier hammer spring from Froggies. Added a Bugbuster 3-9x32 scope, which is great. Then added an SKS cheek riser from ATI to aid the scope eye relief. Not sure what FPS I'm getting, but it hits pretty hard. Have more work to do sighting in, but so far, I think it's pretty great. Should be able to enjoy shooting across my big basement with a trap during the winter.
Pros
Lightweight, multiple shots with the magazine for follow-up shots when pesting, made well
Cons
Should come with the magazine, which is expensive for what it is. Moderator should be removable from the rifle barrel without having to go through all the heating process to get the loctite to break loose.
Pros
Nice product, light and handles well
Cons
Came without the single shot tray which was dissapointing.
Wish I bought sooner
Pros
Very accurate and lots of fun. Its seems to be the favorite and go to of everyone that comes over.
Cons
More power
It was BETTER than expected!!
Pros
Fit and finish. Accuracy. Ease of assembly.
Cons
NONE
Update to my previous review. In my experience, dont plan on using any mags with this gun,, stick to the sigle shot tray. If someone would offer metal mags for it I would try them. Tried three 3d printed mags and have had to destroy 2 of them as they have jammed pellets in the receiver. Have had to ever so carefully use a jag to clear the jams. I am always careful to pull the bolt all the way back in one fluid motion etc.. I can only assume this would be the case with all of the Diana guns that use this same receiver and mags.
Pros
Accurate
Cons
No reliable mags
Ordered the Beeman 1085 for my wife. The last one they had leaked so I opted for the Chaser rifle kit and they threw in a mag. Much appreciated. Did not expect that much but this thing is great. The hoards of starlings showed up at about the same time as the gun arrived and my wife has hardly had a chance to shoot it. I had been taking them out with my break barrels but this thing is so light quiet and accurate, that I grab it first. Packs more punch than I thought, and no recoil. Using a cheap package scope that came with one of my break barrels but will be putting a CQB Bugbuster on it. Also ordered three 3D printed mags for it as the Seneca/Diana mags arent reliable. Looking into shims for the hammer spring to get a little more power also.
Pros
Light, quiet, accurate, excellent trigger
Cons
Magazine
Great Rifles and super quiet to shoot ,...close neighbors will not get mad!!
Pros
very happy with this purchase, so happy in fact that I purchased the Diana chaser in a .22 version as well! these Rifle kits are sweet! be very careful assembling these and take your time. They both zero'd in in just a few shots. both shoot a little high the first couple shots, and after that are dead nuts for about 40 to 45 shots. I believe if these were the very first air rifles that I ever bought, I would not own as many as I do! they are that good. Both are very accurate, and both can be used for varmints at about 30 feet max and target shooting probably up to 50- 60 ft staying very accurate. Sale price is what convinced me to buy! I like shooting single shot at a time, so the mag cartridge does nothing for me. now I am looking for a bipod for them. seriously great quality guns ... make sure when you are changing barrels, the seal at the very end of the barrel is in place! directions do not tell you that.
Cons
would like a case to come with it that will fit the assembled rifle so that you do not need to break it down to put in the original case...once assembled, I refuse to break mine down because once I get them dialed in, I do not want to throw it off. both barrels should have the breach seals in place so that it does not get assembled without one by accident, making so you need to disassemble and assemble again.
stay with lighter pellet weights i am shooting with 14.3 grain pellets the 15.8s drop off faster as the co2 drops also put a drop of oil on co2 cartages that keep seals lub.I have a 177 cal on order, just have to wait 4 it to come in stock. Would be nice to have a magazine included with purchase.
Pros
just a great pellet rifle accurate fom fist shot till about 38 shots then it drops off a bit. the magazine's are a bit finnicky to load but they do work with practice.
Cons
larger volume magazine's would be great
Diana guns just WORK out of the box.
Pros
Threaded barrels
Cons
A bit beefier stocks

asked gary from USADo those who own one like a scope or is it good without?
asked Rochelle from USAI use a UTG 3-9x32 Bugbuster on mine with a UTG dovetail to picatinny rail and medium pic rings. Leaves plenty of room for the mag and gets the sight picture over the open sites. Works well.
Joel from USAGood without but great with a red dot on it I used a boresight to sight it in and it's a tack driver now!

greg from USAwhat's the best weight of 22 pellet for this gun
asked Bean from USAMine really likes RWS super points at 14.5 grains. Great for starlings and house sparrows.
Joel from USAMy .22 caliber Chaser really loves the very economical H&N, (Excite) brand "plinking" wadcutters that weigh in at an even 13.0 grs. A tin of 250 pellets costs only about $6 but shoot very, very well in my Chaser as well a handful of my other .22 caliber break barrel and PCP air rifles.
Dennis from USAWhere can you get a bit stock for my chaser? I found a moderator bit everyone's out of buttstock accessorie
asked Roy from USAWhat's the FPS on the .177 rifle?

greg from USAI'm new to air gunning. What is an indexed mag?
asked Tim from USAWhen you insert a pellet and push the bolt forward the next pellet will be indexed into place and move forward into the breech
Roy from USA
Would not recommend for first air gun.
Pros
Very economical purchase for pistol and rifle. Unique and simple method of converting from pistol to rifle. Action a little course at first but smoothed out after 150 shots. Chaser my favorite over my other 8 air guns.
Cons
Include at least one magazine with kit.
