I've been shooting handguns since the age of 9. My Father's custom 1911's from Clarke Custom and those by Armand Swenson. His custom carry Commanders that were worked on by Swenson and Clarke were his favorites.
After a 29 year career in Law Enforcement and several of those years doing firearms training I've come to respect the 1911 greatly.
Tisas has really impressed me with what they're putting out. Hammer forged barrels. Slides and Frames.
You just can't go wrong with one of their 1911's. My latest purchase is the Night Stalker . 45acp 5 rounds of Speer Lawman . 230gr FMJ at 12 yards , within most gunfight distances !

PSA always gets a great rating from me. First impressions of the Tisas 1911 Night Stalker 45acp has been great. Between the reviews I read and watched, and the PSA price, I couldn’t resist the purchase.I have less than 200 rounds through it so far with only a couple failure to feed issues and those were on the first magazine loads. Since then, no issues. An MP friend recently gave it a whirl and after the first magazine he turned to look at me with a huge smile. The only mod I’ve made is to add talon tape to the grips. With lots of choices in 1911s, I’m happy with mine.
