Obsessed

I can’t believe I didn’t know about these sooner! For the last 10 years I’ve been using a very old, very cheap pair of knock-off Uggs as my camp slipper. They finally gave up the ghost last spring during our trip to Moab and I’ve been searching for a replacement every since. I’ve tried many different slipper boots but none are exactly what I’m looking for… took clunky, too stiff, to heavy. Nothing fit the bill…until these. Enter: the Tundra Aerogel Booties! These are *perfect* for camp slippers. First, they keep your feet warm. Check. Second, they have a thin enough sole that you can wear them under the covers and it doesn’t feel like you’re sleeping in shoes. Check. Finally, they have a smooth sole so you don’t track a bunch of sand or dirt back into your sleeping bag via the treads of the boot (the downside to this is I don’t think they’d be very safe on ice, so be careful there.) I honestly can’t overstate how long I’ve been looking for something *exactly* like this. I’m beyond excited to use them in Yellowstone next month. I wear a women’s size 10 and ordered a Large. They fit a little loose, but it’s just enough room to wear a pair of thick socks so it’s not a problem at all.

Gigantic!

I purchased the extra small (I have W5 foot), which was supposed to fit a size 5-6. These are HUGE. My friend with a size 9 foot had no problem wearing them. The gel sole is great, but their sizing is *way* off.

Game changer!
- Familiarity:

I have neuropathy in my feet, and in the winter, my feet get so cold I can't feel them. I picked these up on sale, so I wasn't expecting too much, whether I used them around the house or as slippers around camp when I backpack. I have a pair of down booties that I wear to bed, but they have no traction and I don't want anything with traction once I'm in my quilt. I have to say, the only downside of these is that I'm on the far end of size "Large" (I'm a 9.5 shoe size) and it is a struggle to get these on or off if wearing socks with them. Besides that, I wear them everywhere. Home, work, running errands, and my feet are perfect and toasty warm with these on.

Very lose. Not a lot of structure.

There isn’t much structure to this shoe, so walking them isn’t the most comfortable to walk in. It’s almost like having cardboard at the bottom of your foot and it moves around and doesn’t really hold to your foot. Now I understand why these were more on the cheaper side. On the upside, they do keep my foot warm, however I can’t really where them outside in snow or walking around due to the lack of structure.
