Australians always seem to have the best overlanding gear! And this shower tent is no exception. First off, it's a lot more expensive than some of the super flimsy pop up privacy tents on Amazon. But in this case, you really do get what you pay for. This tent feels like it's going to last for a very long time.
Make sure to watch the setup videos before you go out camping with it. I wouldn't say it's especially difficult, but it's just different. The poles stay attached to the tent material which makes the process a lot simpler, and I think once I have done it a few more times I will get the hang of it. I think you can skip the rain fly -- since it's a shower, and especially if you don't need the guy lines tied out. Also, if you don't have the Kakadu portable shower machine, you don't really need to set up the side part where the shower unit is meant to go. But I guess that depends on your setup. It does have a floor panel that you can install too, but I think I would maybe prefer to get some kind of a portable raised platform to stand on.
Overall I'm extremely impressed with the build quality of this tent and the thought that went into it. There are some really nice details like the rack on the outside to dry your camp towel and the ventilation and window opening. I believe this is a company that has been around for a long time in Australia but they have only recently started selling gear in the US. I have been eyeing their portable shower system (instant hot water and pump unit) but at this time it doesn't have any reviews, and it's a bit pricier than their competitors -- but if this tent is an example of their quality then the price may very well be justified. I'll probably break down soon and buy it before my next camping / overlanding trip.
If you are looking at the price of this tent and wondering if it's worth the cost, I can say I definitely understand the hesitation. But I can also say that I think this is likely the last shower tent I will ever need. I will be surprised if it doesn't last for many, many years.
