I do NOT recommend this kit.
At the price of this kit, it is simply NOT at all well thought out as far as the accessories to include. The inclusion of patch tips that are NOT .223. 5.56. 9mm or .357 seems to be a waste. Very few people out there use a 5.57 caliber. Also, NOT to include a T-Handle for the aircraft cable is not thought through at all. When cleaning and pulling a patch through, the cable ends are slicker than a cat's A*$. It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to grip the cable tightly enough to pull it through the barrel when a patch is on the other end. In fact, my cable got lodged half-way down the barrel with a patch inside. It was a PAIN to back it out back to the battery. I had to then use the T-Handle that came with my older 9mm tactical cleaning kit. C'mon Otis, I expect more from your products, that a $95 cleaning kit should include a 10 cent (at bulk purchase you make) piece of plastic T-Handle!

New gun owner
I am a new gun owner. I was intimidated with the plethora of products out there, so this is a nice kit that takes care of both of my new purchases. Comes in a convenient, sturdy case.
Start with Otis
My first impression was, this is a pro kit, great quality. I had already purchased two other cleaning kits, one 9mm kit, the other a 5.56/.223, they didn’t compare. I wished I had done my homework and made it to Otis first, but I didn’t. Having the 9mm and 5.56/.223 in the same kit was perfect for me. You get what you pay for and Otis is worth it. Don’t waste your money on those other kits, start with Otis.
