I regret not buying the older Mira. The zippers and especially inner lining of the bag is noticeably cheaper since Osprey was bought. Comparing to my and my partners older Osprey bags it sadly is obvious of changes to thinner cheaper materials. We will see how long this bag stands up this summer. Fingers crossed

Great Daypack

Went to my local REI and was fitted and tried on several packs before deciding to go with the Mira 22. It is very comfortable to wear (for me) and the included 2.5L reservoir has been great! This is my first ever daypack and I am very satisfied that I chose to go with Osprey.

Needs improvement

It's a bit on the heavy side for long day hikes. And the zippers on the waist belt is poorly designed. It takes lot of effort to open and close while on the move. I am totally unimpressed with the design of this pack. Not sure if they tested it on the field. The reservoir spills easily even with slight pressure. Happened few times while I kept the pack on the rocks on trail and on my lap while sitting in the park shuttle.

As advertised

I’m petite and this pack fits me perfectly. I also have hip pain from time to time and the padded hip belt and shoulder straps work well. The hydration system keeps the weight evenly balanced. After a couple of months of local training, I’m off to Scotland!

Great fit for a short woman!

Love the way it fits. The sales clerk was very helpful in learning the features. I love the water bladder and how easy it is to drink from it while hiking.

Worked as expected!

Great backpack. I used it for a day hike where I needed layers of clothing, food, water, and first aid kit. It felt good on my back even loaded with all my stuff. I love the wide hip belt and the hip pockets. The water pooch is easy to fill and clean. There are extra straps on the outside making it easy to carry extras like hiking poles.

She loves it

I have been letting my girl use my hydration pack for a while now and when she finally decided to get into regular hiking we decided it was time to get her a pack of her own. We wanted something that could double as a travel backpack and this one fit the bill. It was small enough that she doesn’t feel swallowed up by it, but has enough room to fit anything she might want to pack for the trip/hike. She really appreciates the mesh backing that creates the space behind her back for airflow too. I guess maybe I need to look at updating my pack next.

Awesome, Comfortable Backpack for Day Hiking!

I bought this backpack a year ago and really wanted to put it through the test before I wrote a review. I took my Mira 22 on a week long trip of all day hiking adventures. I had plenty of room for lunch, clothing and other items I may have needed. I really liked the magnetic clip for the hydration mouth piece and had no problems with it. My iPhone 14 Pro did fit in a hip belt pocket as I had a thin cover but it would be great if the hip belt pockets were slightly longer. I really liked the ventilation in the back and how the pack fit my back. I am 5' 0" tall. One of the best features is the attached rain cover which came in handy. I wish all backpacks came with attached rain covers. I was amazed at how much one could carry in this backpack. I highly recommend the Mira 22.

Love it!

This pack has been perfect for my longer hikes. I am a slow hiker so need more nutrition and water. I recently went on a 16 mile hike with 4500 feet elevation change. I took it at an easy pace for me and it took me 15 hours. I actually attached two bladders inside the bladder compartment so I could bring 4 L of water. This pack worked very nicely for me for this hike, and the other longer hikes I went on to prepare for this.

Another Osprey bag for the win!

Highly functional daypack from Osprey! Lightweight, well thought out. I sold two of my older Osprey packs to upgrade to this one & had no trouble off-loading them. Osprey packs hold up and keep their value. This pack is comfortable to carry a full days' worth on the trail and is highly functional with capabilities of storing extra layers, food, etc....
