We handle hot objects every day in our labs, in the demo kitchen at work and in our own cooking at home. We’ve tried every kind of hot pad and trivet out there. We took what we learned and designed exactly what we wanted. We studied size, shape, materials, flexibility, durability and heat resistance. Fit and feel in the hand needed to be as perfect as we could get them to wield hot handles and heavy pans. We looked at similar existing designs but found that too many were too stiff, some fell apart too easily, some had awkward shapes and some just looked cheap and flimsy. Our design is just right in our opinion. And, you can throw it in the dishwasher! A busy kitchen needs a bunch of these!

However, one drawback I've encountered is the difficulty in cleaning it when spills occur. The waffle-like cavities can trap food particles and liquids, making it a bit challenging to clean thoroughly. While it can be rinsed under water or placed in the dishwasher, the textured surface means that some debris may require extra effort to remove completely.
Overall, the ThermoWorks Silicone Hotpad/Trivet performs well in terms of heat resistance and functionality, but be prepared for a little extra work when it comes to cleaning up after spills.
The white color is baked into the silicone trivet and is more stain-resistant than other materials. We have not seen any fading or staining as we've used the trivets in our demo kitchen.
No, we do not.
Thanks for the question. The trivets are heat resistant to 600°F. The product packaging hasn't quite caught up to the new, higher specifications yet.
As long as your purchase 5 or more trivets (regardless of color), you will receive the 5-up price. The shopping cart will automatically update the price as soon as 5 trivets have been added.
The silicone trivet will certainly stand up to the heat of the crock pot. However, we believe that the best use of a trivet is to use it as a hot pad or a trivet. The silicone completely stops any heat from passing through from a hot pan to your hand!
The Trivets will protect your table from heat and most people use the Trivets successfully with their wood tables. We do recommend that you check your particular table's finish as some finish-types react with silicone over time. Make sure there is no moisture under the Trivet.
The easiest way to clean the Silicone Hotpad/Trivet is in the dishwasher. That way, they are cleaned and dried. Put them in the dishwasher vertically so water won't pool in one side. Because clothes dryers don't get above the max temperature (600°F) the Trivets can withstand, it should work to dry them in a clothes dryer.
I would not recommend it for keeping water or moisture off of a table. While it would hold the water for a time, it is not absorbent and it would overflow the pockets if not emptied regularly.
Technically, it should work as long as the temperature doesn't climb over 600°F.
Yes, you can. The Silicone Hotpad/Trivet can withstand temperatures up to 600°F.
I need them for kitchen
Already have a bunch and love them
Temperature that it supports
I have 7-8 and use them practically everyday. Wanted to share some of these with my sister in law.
