ever! It does take a little longer when you take into account staking the tent out and setup the rainfly (2nd person required), took maybe a total of 20 minutes on the first go. There’s no feeling claustrophobic in this tent, there’s so much room for activities! After getting everything set, I even had the chance to test it a light summer shower! Break down, was a breeze, 15 minutes or less, from the rainfly coming down to sliding into the oversized carrying bag. At roughly 25 lbs, it’s a beast to move around but no big deal! Getting into the back hatch of my mid-size SUV, was just as easy as the setup, but you might want to consider measuring your passenger compartment before purchasing. Or consider using your roof rack. Overall construction is great, I have full faith in the Bushnell name and the quality of their products. However, a word advice, while putting on the rainfly, I did manage to break two of the 6 clips when tightening down the rainfly. So I would suggest loosening those completely before attaching the rainfly then as you tighten them down, but carefully. Upon searching the website, Bushnell does not offer replacement clips for minor repairs, which is unfortunate. does to put up. If you've ever owned a "pop up," most of them have integrated poles that twist in various figure eights and store as a flat circle. It's awesome to see them form their shape on their own, but putting them away is a chore. Also, as I get older, it's much harder to crawl in and out of a tent with a height of 4 feet. All other tents with ample head room or "cabin tents" required separate tent poles that need to be ran through sleeves and channels.

This tent is somewhat a hybrid of both. I wouldn't say it's a true "pop up" tent as it does come with connectable 3 connectable poles for needed stability on both of the entrances. Without them, the tent will sort of flop around. It's still a very easy tent to set up and put away. It is heavy and does take up a lot of space though. Due to its weight, I wouldn't recommend putting it on a roof rack. You also run the risk of damaging the tent if you sinch it down with straps. In small SUV, you won't be able to lay it sideways in the back. In my RAV4, I had to put the rear left passenger seat down to fit the tent lengthwise with the car. Thank goodness my kids are still relatively small as one was able to sit with plenty of space in the middle seat. The orange, more expensive version, of this tent will also have the same fitment issue.
