It will work, however you are limited by the magnification of the scope. The 6.5 Creedmoor round allows for longer distances than a 1-4x scope lends itself too.
The Trijicon AccuPoint TR-24 1-4x24mm Rifle Scope could be used with a rifle chambered in .308 or 30-06. However, the range will depend on different factors such as the conditions you are hunting in and what you are hunting. There is not a "max yardage" the scope could be used.

This scope is very clear. The green triangle post works great as a red dot on 1x zoom. The green triangle will disappear when looking out a window or door while standing in a darker room but the large post still allows for target acquisition.

The illuminated Rifle Scope is illuminated through the use of fiber optics and tritium, providing a vivid aiming point without the need for failure-prone batteries. The AccuPoint Rifle Scope by Trijicon is also water resistant.
This variable Rifle Scope features true 1x (and up to 4x) magnification with a straight 30mm tube, enabling consistent eye relief at all magnifications. The true 1x magnification allows close-in shots for tactical shooters, law-enforcement professionals and safari dangerous game hunters. The 30mm tube of the Trijicon AccuPoint 1-4x24mm Scope offers greater adjustment range and more variety of mounting options.
