Amazing watch with nearly infinite capabilities!

This review is after a month of constant use. I had not worn a watch for nearly 10 years. When I decided to do some serious training for distance and mountain biking a lot I chose to buy a sports watch. After researching all the options I decided to get this one. It has not failed to amaze me! When running/hiking/walking 3-6 times per week I just listen to my Spotify library from the watch. No need to drag my phone along. I love that I don't need a cellular data plan for the watch. It does everything I need and the Garmin Connect on my Android give me all the details that I want. You can also access Garmin Connect through a browser on your computer. The data and details that it gathers on my runs is amazing. The coach to assist in my training for distance races has also been a big help. It also has the ability to track my strength training, and other exercise. The tracking of my health data (sleep, V02 Max, HRV, pulse, hydration, weight, etc) has exceeded my expectations. For even more software and options Connect IQ Store offers many more watch face options and data fields that you can use on your watch. Even with very heavy use I go 5-7 days without plugging it in to charge. (I think the solar model helps a little when I'm out often in the sun.) I also appreciate that there is NO monthly subscription or fee. Buy the watch and you get everything that Garmin has to offer. If you are serious about training and sports and want to track your progress and health, GET THIS WATCH!

Don't waste your money

What a waste of money. The watch does not pace well and constantly shows variations of minutes from one moment to the next while running. It frequently will refuse to update with Spotify rendering it useless for one of the main purposes it was purchased. I'm a computer systems engineer for the last 20 years and have tried routers and phone hot spots. The WiFi is just bad. Oh...and wait for it, the Bluetooth connection is so bad that I have to wear the watch on the wrong wrist to match the receiver in my headphones or there are constant drops. Save your money and look elsewhere for quality.

Love this watch!

I really love this watch. I think it’s my favorite watch I’ve ever owned. It’s easy to use (once I got the hang of it), it has every feature I need for mountain biking and tracking my training and rest/sleep, I love the way it looks and feels. And the battery lasts soooo long!! I got so annoyed with my apple watch batter lasting for 8-10 hours. This one lasts for weeks. And I got a road ID plaque that fits perfectly on the band that has my emergency contact info on it. It is pricey, but for me it has been worth it.

Excellent Multi-Sport Watch

I absolutely love my Garmin Fēnix Sapphire Solar Multi-Sport Watch! I debated a lot over this and the Epix Gen 2. I went with this one for the solar charging and the slightly lower cost. If I wanted a fancier screen I would have gone with an Apple Watch Ultra. However, I feel that the two watch model lines should be combined. I don’t see why you have to choose between features that obviously belong together. That’s my only complaint. I bought this watch because it seems purpose-built for the Spartan Race and other outdoor activities like backcountry hiking. I wish the Garmin Explore software was a bit easier to use. But overall, the watch is fabulous! All the features work great. In fact, there’s more features than I know what to do with! Excellent Multi-Sport watch!

Fenix 7 awesome

I bought this watch a few months ago and highly recommend! I bought the sapphire solar in 47mm. Comfortable but a little bulky with dress shirts and makes it hard to button the long sleeve cuff but manageable. It’s great for all types of activities and sports. Love the golf GPS and shot tracking/scoring. Preloaded workouts help shake up my routine while on the road for work. I can’t say enough about it and I haven’t even explored 10% of its capabilities. Highly, highly recommend

Amazing Watch

First off, it's been a while since I've had a smart watch, I believe a first gen Apple. This thing is amazing! I mainly wanted it to track fitness, as I'm always concerned with using battery life on my phone for Strava, so having this has been a game changer. The battery life is crazy good! And it seemlessy integrates with Strava, and even Apple Health. And, it tells time too! There are so many functions this thing can do that I'm not even aware of, but just being able to track fitness, check emails and texts, and see what time it is without having to pull my phone out of my pocket has been a game changer. It's been great so far...

Great new features compared to Forerunner 935

I bought this a month ago and have been very pleased with it so far. The only thing that I do not like about it is the fact that it DOES NOT hold a battery charge like my Forerunner 935 did. That being said though, it seems to be more accurate with its assessments. Example: HR is now captured in the water as opposed to the 935 you had to wear a HR Monitor which was a complete pain in the neck! More things that it tracks- not sure the solar part really is worth while because I do spend quite a bit of time outside and it still doesn’t seem like it is helping charge it at all even though it’s not covered by a sleeve. I would give it a 4.6 of 5 ranking so far.

Love my fenix 7 Sapphire Solar Edition

I purchased my fenix 7 Sapphire Solar two weeks ago and have fallen in love with this watch. I used to wear two other watches because they each offered something the other didn't. The fenix 7 Sapphire Solar has combined everything I wanted and used into one watch. I am no longer wearing 2 watches to achieve my goals. In the 2 weeks I have been using the fenix 7, I have been impressed with the accuracy and usefulness of the data. I love the touch screen, and found it easy to use. There are still a lot of things to learn for using this watch, but I am enjoying the learning process. The price gave me pause, but so far the watch has exceeded my expectations.

AMAZING watch... Learning something new each day!

So far I love this watch. I purchased the Fenix 6 at the end of December thinking that the Fenix 7 wasn't coming out until late 2022. Once hearing that the 7 was coming out in a few weeks I returned the 6 and ordered the 7. I have not been disappointed! I workout 6 days a week and track them, I've been paying attention to my body battery and resting when needed and sometimes going to bed earlier than I normally do. The sleep tracking has me being more conscience about what I do before going to bed so that I can optimize my sleep. The battery life is next level, a single change has lasted me 2 weeks with tracking 12 workouts in that time. Thank you for a great product, I look forward to learning more about this device. Oh, my wife also got the Venu SQ music edition.
