Nice, but….

over all i liked the pack , pocket skins are awesome and i think superior to a bottom pocket which is found on other packs , straps are comfy and ultra 200 is nice . what i didn’t like was the lack of water bottle pocket drain holes ,the cheap ul plastic ladder locks on the shoulder straps one of which was broken and the other one was very difficult to release and would not have held up very long , the use of 1/2 inch webbing instead of preferable 3/4 on said shoulder straps and sternum strap, also the bungee cord over the front pocket is so-lite duty that it is borderline useless.at 12.9 ounces this bag is so-lite that i think the minimal weight penalty of functional 3/4 ladder locks and webbing plus slightly more robust cordage would be more valuable than the pack weight bragging rights that they seem to be going for at the expense of functional durability. in the end i am happy with it despite these issues ( helps i got it 40%off) i just replaced the ladder locks with some spare gatekeeper ones i had from my so pack and switched out the cordage, i may also put some drain holes in the water bottle pockets because the main pack body is not seam taped and water puddling in the pockets will seep into the main pack.

Perfect

i bought this for a slightly larger “personal item” for airline travel and for overnight backpacking trips. i can easily fit my sleeping bag, 1 person tent, pad, etc. love the ultra 200 material. super lightweight but feels more durable than my robic backpacks. i bought the optional sit pad in addition and it adds a little extra support to the pack. overall a really solid pack that’s great for shorter trips/travel.

Great UL Pack

i wasn't really familiar with this company, packback designs, but bought this pack on a whim and am very pleased with my purchase. ultra fabric is very nice and less crinkly sounding than my hyperlite pack. the front mesh pocket isn't stretchy, but is pleated and offers plenty of storage. the side pockets will each hold two 1 liter bottles or a chair zero. they also have a layer of mesh over them so you can store small items like snacks, gloves, hat, airpods, etc - possibly even a water filter. it's a great feature that i really haven't seen before (much better implementation than durston's kakwa 40 side pocket). there are also loops along nearly all of the seams so you can add cordage wherever you need to secure any longer/oversized gear. i haven't used it in the field yet, but i loaded it up with a total pack weight of 16 lbs and the shoulder straps felt very comfortable. looking forward to putting some miles on it as soon as i can.
