Love this kayak
I have had an older Loon 111 for a couple of years and I enjoy this boat's speed, stability and comfort.. The only drawback is how difficult this kayak is to right if you tip over. Without bulwarks and any flotation foam, you have to get the kayak back to land to empty it and start paddling again. I have two questions: is any flotation foam available for this kayak and are any watertight hatches available for the Loon 111 if I add bulwarks?

Great boat
Great quality kayak at a good price. Leaves out the bells and whistles which turn out to be mostly for show. The foot rests are greatly improved from my 2002 loon which is still going strong. The seat seems to be placed about 1"-2" too far forward which has reduced the tracking characteristics as compared to my older model.

Great for Kayak camping!
I've owned my Loon for 15 years now, and it's still in excellent condition! Although it's a bit heavy (65#s), it's great for hauling camping gear, etc.
