Incredible warmth and comfort, Hunting with the saddle suit after hunting with my regular old gear was truly a pleasure. Being a new saddle hunter I quickly learned why any saddle hunter would need this!

I just purchased some some new gear a month ago and it was exceptional!! So warm for thoes late season hunts! I love being warm and mobile when the shotgunners hit the forest ! 100% reccomend this gear

John Eberhart+Scentlok = Deadly

As usual the quality of scentlok is like none other and paired with the experience and attention to detail of John Eberhart I am excited and glad a Scentlok is working with a true deerhunter and I hope there is more to come from Yall ! No piece of clothing will be perfect for everyone unless you have it custom made to your own specs but I believe you'll be hard pressed to find more quality and thought out product than experience/technology has been created here! My 2 cents from an ole Tennessee RidgeRunner !!!

No elastic or waist drawcord!!!

2 things, John states in his video on YouTube that this is waterproof but you can’t really say it’s waterproof because the seams aren’t taped, with that said where’s the hood? Permanent or zip/button off would have been sweet.
This is directly towards the designers of Scentlok, why in the world is almost every (97%) jacket without a cinch cord or elastic waist???? We were talking about containment of body odor, also let’s not forget warmth!!! I’m hunting in 51° weather right now and guess where I’m slightly chilled in the way waist area because I have a wide open jacket smh. I love supporting sentlok, I’m from Michigan but it’s just always disappointing every time I want to buy an upper garment it has a wide open waist, why man?

Great jacket!

Very nice jacket, the fleece is extremely quiet for close encounters in bow range. Very warm in cold weather. Wish it was a touch longer in the waist and in the sleeves, and waist pockets were a hair further forward. For anyone who has a larger athletic frame, definitely go up a size. I normally wear a 2X and a 3X is borderline for me with cold weather layers. Overall, very happy with the jacket. 4.5/5 stars.

Got my saddle hunter jacket today, size Large. I'm 5'9" and 170 lbs and it fits me just right with room for a couple of base layers and maybe a vest underneath if needed. Seems like a good amount of thinsulate. Make sure you save the little "Godfather of Saddle Hunting" trading card with John's picture on it...comes attached along with jacket specs/info.

HOPE IT'S WARM!

Like others have said, a waist draw string would be nice. Also, unless you put the jacket on over something nylon it does not slide on easy. If I would put on over a hoodie or something with that type of material I end up having to pull the sleeves of the hoodie down to my wrist because the jacket catches on it. Not a big deal because I just put a very thin nylon windbreaker on before the jacket and problem is solved. One more thing, the zipper is not easy to get started. Just HOPE IT'S WARM!

I've worn the jacket on 2 hunts, one which was successful. The Thinsulate insulation really quiets down the windproof membrane. I have not used the jacket in cold enough conditions that I've needed additional layers. However, this jacket paired with a heated vest, will be able to keep you on stand through some pretty low temps. The size of this jacket runs normal, and leaves room for additional layers. As far as the new pocket design. I can access the pockets better than a typical slash pocket while in a saddle. However, I still prefer to use a hand warmer muff. It keeps my hands at a more comfortable position, which is just my personal preference. Overall, this is a great jacket. I wish Scentlok would print garments in some of the bigger camo patterns like ASAT or Predator.

Q: Will the saddle hunter jacket be offered in another camo pattern for those of us that don't hunt 25-30ft in a tree. That Mossy oak pattern looks like a big blob from 100 to 20 yds in a tree, no outline break up at all if you are 15-20ft in a tree.

Q: The new saddle suit do you anticipate tall sizes? With all of the hunting gear available today most manufacturers don't have tall sizes. That would be a huge selling point.

A: We will not have the Saddle Hunter series in tall sizes this year, however, we have shared this with our production team and will hopefully have more tall sizes available in 2023.
