The CMC trigger is a great trigger for the money! It is lighter, smoother and shorter trigger pull compared to a mil spec trigger. I put it in a precision AR I'm building and it worked great. I would say it is too light for a duty/self defense gun.

This makes my 4th CMC trigger from PSA. The most recent one I received was covered in rust, so much so that the plastic bag was stained with rust. The two pins were too long, so that when the screws were flush with the cross pins, there was a ridiculous amount of slop between the screws and the lower receiver. I had to file both pins to get a secure fit. Super disappointed this time around.

Crisp break, very light pull. If you are looking for a single stage and can get it on sale, it's tough to beat. It's not comparable to a SSA-E or a MBT-2S but again, for a single stage it is drastically better than any mil spec trigger.

Inspecion of the trigger sear engagement surface showed a strange ripple rather than the mirror-like surface on my CMC 3.5lb triggers. See attached photo.In the process of getting a RMA from CMC. This 90503 trigger is the BEST upgrade you can install in your build or favorite operator! I installed this on my previous AR .223 Wilde build. The 2-2.5 lb pull is extremely smooth, once you get on target, your finger pull becomes 2nd nature. No overthinking. The small shoe at the tip of the trigger really places your fingertip at an optimal position to take advantage of the smooth release. Excellent trigger, highly recommend this one!
