Weekend Trip to Labrador Mountain Yurt

Amazing! Is an understatement! The yurt is completely equipped for everything you could possibly need! I noticed sunrise from the bed, which was amazing! Big fan of the soaking tub and big fan of the heated toilet seat!! All in all incredible spot!! Totally what we needed a weekend away in peace!

Weekend Trip to Sunswick Farm

This was our fifth stay at this cozy cabin. It was snowy, beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. The creek was flowing and all of nature‘s beauty was glistening. If you need to unwind, relax and escape, then this is the place to be! Don’t forget to buy some honey from the owners. We stocked up with 14 more jars because it is just that delicious! Can’t wait to come back!

The bus was nice and cozy. Jessica and her family were very inviting and if anything was needed, she was quick to respond.

Cynthia place was what we were exactly looking for. The cabin was nestled inside Bear Swamp State Forest. It was simple but cozy. Will return again.

5 nights at Cabin in the woods

The cabin is clean and cozy. The setting is peaceful and very secluded. I spent a few nights alone (writing retreat) and then my wife came with our dogs and we all ran around and explored. It was cold outside, but the wood stove kept it warm inside. The small propane stove was nice for cooking. The outhouse is…well…an outhouse. The bed was comfortable. Bring lots of wood if you plan to heat the cabin. (I wish the host offered a fee to raid their wood piles….i’d pay a premium to not haul my own :) The deck is large and there is a black stone there. Don’t pour stuff down the sink without looking to see where it drains! And don’t worry about the drive in too much. A bit of clearance is needed, but 4x4 is not (just go slow).

A bee yard is a collection of anywhere from 4 to 21 hives in one place, and our yards are located at the farm and on private properties throughout Cayuga, Cortland, and Onondaga Counties. We are busy with our bees and at the same time want to share the wonders of our farm with folks so we are very fortunate to have our neighbors Debbie Kahl and Tracy Yardley manage the HipCamp bookings on our behalf. Debbie lives very close and will be your contact person. She will be happy to answer your questions and will meet you when you arrive and introduce you to the your camping site. Tryals Park Camp & Obstacle Course

About the Property: Our unique property boasts quiet camping on a beautifully manicured MotoTrials Riding and Obstacle Play Course. All 3 camping sites are nestled into the Obstacle course. Trials riders and non-Trials Riders alike will find much to enjoy here. Campers unfamiliar with Trial are welcome to take advantage of a Lesson on one of our Rental Bikes, while the Obstacle Course is also super-fun on foot (for walks or runs), mountain bike, trials bicycle, or for playing with your RC rock climber! We have night lighting to turn on at your request, even if just to sit in the evening and enjoy the lights reflecting off the pond-We surely do! We are located on NY 38 but our traffic is low (Log and Milk Trucks, Farm Tractors and commuters). It is very peaceful here. Your camping can be as private, quiet and leisurely as you wish. The views and big sky are gorgeous in our corner of farm country. Our small pond provides entertainment w/ turtle sunbathing raft and lots of nature's visitors. (Canoe available) Pets are always welcome off-leash if you are comfortable. About the Trials Riding: We host 6 Mototrial events each season (see below) and if spectating appeals, you can plan your trip to coincide. You're in for a treat if you've never seen these nimble motorcycles do their 'thing'... up, over, and around the obstacles. Events are busy and exciting, but no worries (!) trials bikes are not loud and riders are friendly and considerate. If spectating is not your thing- no worries either. Non-event days are very laid back. On any given day if Trials riders come here (just to practice or instruction with Mike) it's not loud or invasive, nor interferes with any camper training or playing on the course. When riders are here (barring events), it is typically only 2-4 riders at a time. Multiple activities co-exist quite nicely here as there is plenty of room for all. There are many days no one is on the course at all (!) and you may have it all to yourself or possibly with another camper. Check-in time is totally flexible. You may come early and play on the course- even if you can't occupy your site yet due to another camper's departure. Hope to see you in our slice of heaven! Cabin in the woods

The cabin is located in a remote area of Bear Swamp State Forest. It is about 5 miles from the nearest paved road but has seasonal roads that take you to the cabin. There are many close attractions like Skaneateles Lake and Carpenters Falls. The Cabin doesn’t have electricity or water but we do have a generator available. We do not have a shower or bathroom but we have an outhouse. We do ask people to bring their own gas if you want to run the generator and woods to make a fire. I highly recommend 4x4 vehicles but I been there in a civic and a mini van.
