America the Beautiful Pass - 2025/2026
Good for a year's worth of visits, the annual America the Beautiful Pass covers entrance or standard amenity (day-use) at federal recreation sites across the country, including all our national parks.
- Covers entrance fees at sites managed by the National Park Service and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
- Covers standard amenity (day-use) fees at sites managed by the USDA Forest Service, Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation
- Each pass has one line for a single pass holder to print and sign their name
- At sites that charge per vehicle, it covers the pass holder and all occupants in a personal vehicle
- At sites that charge per person, it covers the pass holder and 3 accompanying adults 16 and over (kids 15 and under get in free)
- Covers entrance or standard amenity fees only
- Does not cover Expanded Amenity or Concessionaire fees such as parking, RV hookups, camping, shuttles, boat launches and guided interpretive tours
- Pass is valid for 1 year from the month of purchase
- Nontransferable and nonrefundable; REI Co-op Members do not earn a dividend on the purchase of this pass
- The Annual Pass offered on this website is just one of several pass options available (see note below)
- This is not an official U.S. Government website; REI is an authorized reseller of the America the Beautiful Pass

Saves time
Having a annual national Park pass is a lifesaver when you’re going into parks during peak seasons. For example, Shenandoah National Park during the fall has very long lines to get in the park, but if you already have a park pass, there’s a separate line where you can get in quicker. I’m so happy that REI carries these because it’s so much easier to pick up there. Every time we go on vacation, we go somewhere where we can visit national parks. These passes pay for themselves. We’ve used them in Hawaii, Colorado, Arizona, all over! We buy our passes here every year!

I really appreciate that I didn’t have to go to the park to get my pass. That just gave a peace of mind knowing I didn’t have to deal with the lines on site. Got it in the mail no problems, used it a week later.
Love National Parks Pass
Great deal from REI. You save a penny off the NP price and you get your REI dividend on the purchase. It's a way better deal than buying it directly from the Park Service. We plan to hit five parks this year!

I frequent the Shenandoah NP often and this pass is a great value. Hopefully the NPs and REI both benefit from the annual pass purchases. One thing I do want to point out is that the pass is punched (i.e. the month you purchase the card) when you purchase the card, not when you first use it to enter one of the parks. So, if you are buying the pass for use a few months from now, just be aware that your card will be active from the time of purchase and it is good for one year from that month,
Don’t order from REI!
It arrived 3 days after the estimated delivery date provided at the time I ordered, so I did not have it in time for my trip. REI won’t refund my $80.

WARNING IF BUYING ONLINE
Just a heads up for those of us who buy these passes online. The card will be mailed to you, but it will not include the plastic rearview mirror holder that you would get in store at REI or directly from the NPS. I called customer service asking for one, as most places require you to display the pass and was told they did not have one to send me. I'm super frustrated and just want others to be aware of this.

Promised in 4 days, at 14 days still not shipped. Just go to your local store or the national park. REI takes weeks to mail these. I finally asked for a refund because my trip is now here, the card is *still* not mailed, and I wont need it when I'm back in a month. Bummer, REI!
