Works well
Tested flow/operation with kitchen tap water, it works well.
Too Heavy/Bulky
product works as advertised. it is efficient and the quality of the water is excellent. however, the geopress is too heavy/bulky to justify carrying it on trips where weight is an issue. great for around town and travel to places where bottled water is not readily available or questionable.

Worth the weight
I was initially disappointed in the weight of the purifier, but after taking it on an overnighter in the GSMNP, I’m glad it’s in my arsenal. I had to melt snow for water and this purifier got out all the gross stuff leaving pure clean water.
Permanently attached to me
this bottle seemed big and bulky, but compared to the ultralight, has a better mass/volume ratio. yes it is a little heavy, but the weight savings i get by carrying less water (i pack a platypus soft bottle for backup water) is worth it. definitely follow the directions of using your body weight to press it, it's a lot more work to press it with your arms only. the water is so much better tasting than with a brita, or most other backcountry filters, the carbon technology is amazing. thank you ggg for having such a well-curated store!
