Great size for small essentials, does not interfere (size wise) with large steps or climbing motion and appears to be very water resistant. Unfortunately I dont have enough hip belt or sternum strap exposed to hang the bag directly on the front of the pack, but can ise the included hip strap so this stays on when I take the pack off

Updated review after using it on a trip.
Great bag. Perfect size for my needs. I like the hidden pocket inside too.
LOVE that the straps are removable for when I attach it to my backpack hip belt. I initially thought they weren’t removable but that was just my mistake. The hip belt opening was the selling point of this bag for me.
The bag is made of waterproof material but won’t keep your stuff dry if submerged. There’s a tiny gap where zippers meet so I don’t think it should be advertised as waterproof. Taking off a star for that.
