  • Product Description

Designed with thru-hikers, bike packers, and weight-conscious adventurers in mind, the Firefly is incredibly effective for its size. Its Pertex® Quantum outer is made using their Y Fuse technology to increase durability, and a DWR finish encourages water to bead and roll off its surface.

ALLIED Feather + Down HyperDRY goose down provides high-quality warmth that packs incredibly well, and its wide adjustable opening eliminates the need for zips (that inevitably increase weight).

Packed dimensions and weights are based on when sleeping bags are purchased, they can be further compressed. This sleeping bag comes with a compression-style stuff sack and a mesh storage bag. Its temperature ratings have been tested to the international ISO 23537-1 standard. It's also made in a large size. Check the size guide for a full breakdown of measurements.

bluesign® approved means this fabric has been manufactured with the responsible use of resources. This product contains RDS down certified by CU 1210688. The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) (independently) certifies down and feathers against animal welfare requirements and tracks it from farm to final product.

All Macpac down is independently certified to the RDS.

Great design.
I love this bag. I have used it in a hut with a silk liner and was warm enough. When I'm in my tent I use it with a thermal liner and a mat with R value of 6 and haven't been cold. I like that it has no zip to save on weight and you don't get cold spots like you do with a quilt.

Excellent sleeping bag for summer and shoulder season
Warm but extremely light. Great for cycling and summer tramping.

As advertised very light, small package, made to high quality that far surpass the sleeping bags of my youth
I am only giving it a 4 star rating as I have not yet tested it outdoors. It is very light and very small when packed to the extent that i did not feel i would fit into it. However when i did test the size I found that the bag was a very comfortable fit. Quality of the bag I rated very high, but will be testing it next month on a five day walk in NZ.

Very light, good summer warmth.
Bought for the kids to carry when tramping. Great light little sleeping bag, was easily warm enough for our summer Pirongia trek. Haven't tested in cold temps.

Big fan
Disclosure: I'm a Macpac ambassador. I first tested Macpac ultra lightweight sleeping bags in the late 90's. They were good then but this firefly is next level. I'm not the warmest of sleepers but happily will use this in alpine huts all year and in snow bivvies and tents for 3 seasons. If it's cooler, I'll wear a warm hat and uber light down jacket and am all good. It beats the old firefly by eliminating the zip and thus creating a warmer bag.
