Cool from the Start

Typically, keeping cool in summer means that clothing is treated using harsh chemicals. But PAKA is committed to delivering the same results in a more responsible way—and that’s where COOLPLUS® technology comes into the picture.

Rather than adding a final chemical coating once a style is complete, the COOLPLUS® method happens at the very start, as the fibers are being spun into yarn. Each fiber cross section ends up looking like a plus sign (+). Because the result is a larger fiber surface area, moisture can more quickly and efficiently evaporate off your skin like a breath of fresh air.

Our ultralight crews are made using a fabric blend of 50% Alpaca, 30% Cotton, and 20% COOLPLUS® polyester fibers—working together so that each style feels like a summer dream against your skin. Here’s exactly what each one brings to the table.

  • Traceable Alpaca: Trust us, we could go on and on about the benefits of alpaca (in fact, we have!). And for this new collection, the lightweight alpaca fiber adds summer-ready thermoregulation and low water retention, keeping you cool (in addition to the COOLPLUS® ) by drawing sweat away from the body. But it also keeps you smelling fresh, thanks to natural odor-reducing properties.
  • Cotton: Soft and breathable to feel cooler and more comfortable on warm or humid days.
  • COOLPLUS® Polyester: Thanks to its unique yard spinning method, COOLPLUS® fibers quickly wick sweat away from your skin, keeping you cool and dry on the go. It's also what helps these styles feel so silky smooth.
