Pros: you are getting a legit combloc front trunnion, bolt, and carrier. People either made these well or didn't eat (at least back then). Mine is superb, has no signs of abnormal wear, and has not had a single malfunction with the rifle (700ish rounds in). - Compatible with all mags ive tried: flatbacks, Bulgarian polymer, Korean fakelites, and steel mags, bakelites, etc. - Korean steel mags and bulgarian polymer mags did rattle but did not impact function. - fit and finish is nice for what you pay, also had a matching dong, recoil spring, and gastube and came with slant brake. Cons:- Sights were canted or barrel was not lined up properly, was unable to zero at 25 yards was 2 inches shy to the left. Sent the gun back to palmetto and they fixed it for free and even touched up where I marred the finish. However the rifle was barely able to zero and the front sight post was pushed to the extreme left limit. Went ahead and got an RPK sights and now the rifle is perfect. unfortunate that a pioneer arms ak that might explode on you has better sights that this. other notes:- if you plan on shooting corrosive ammo I would highly recommend getting the chrome-lined barrel. - the standard dong grip is not compatible with Magpul 30 round magazines unless you want to practice getting it in there for 5 hours. - any magazines you get you must get steel-reinforced lugs unless you want to replace them down the road. - dont shave down your dong, instead go out and buy one pre-circumcised.

I absolutely love my gun. People do complain about the fitment of the stock to the receiver but not PSAs fault. It is designed that way so it does not crack the stock. When I received mine I was pleased to find out that it was all numbers matching which is not guaranteed. Also the recoil was minimal and a pleasure to shoot. I fired 90 rounds with out any issues at all. I did replace the trigger with a genuine Romanian trigger to match the hardness of the Bolt carrier. Would highly recommend and definitely satisfied with my purchased. I was so satisfied that I ordered another one. I did have one concern, but turned out it did not affect my weapon at all and probably made it more pleasurable to shoot. The fitment between the gas tube and gas block. The gap was excessive which concern me. I will include a pic so you can see what I’m talking about. In all honesty I believe this made this more pleasurable to shoot. The ejection pattern was perfect. Three to 4 o’clock with 10 foot ejection.I do have an AK that will eject about 25 feet and pounds your shoulder. I would take this AK over that one any day of the week. Besides having a cool Romanian piece of history.

I received mine yesterday as of writing this review. It was a later year than I would have preferred, but this does not change my opinion. the fir and finish were excellent. I noted slight amounts of excess finish around where the forend cap meets the barrel, but it comes off easily and leaves no trace of damage. The furniture was in excellent condition with few scratches. the bakelite grip looks practically pristine. I was very pleased, upon disassembly, to find that my gun was numbers matching across the board, far beyond what was promised. This includes a matching handguard, gas tube, and sight block. Overall pleased with my purchase. I collect military surplus rifles and this fills out a nice spot in my collection. Though I must note that the selector markings aren't accurate to the original Romanian markings. The rifle will accept a bayonet, surplus magazines, and a cleaning rod. My mag-well is a little tight but it doesn't bother me. This rifle arrives very, very oily so be ready to wipe things down upon receiving. I've heard mixed things about the PSAK, but was pleasantly surprised by this rifle. overall very happy.
