This isn't the most expensive gun, but at 300 and some change, you should expect some kind of performance it's kind of a rip-off

Pros
It's accurate, build-in suppressor is nice and worked well for the first few months or so ...but then

Cons
Sudden loss of power & inconsistent power? I used mine for killing pests this thing can't kill squirrels 10 yards they just run away even when the gun is fully charged

Best money I ever spent - small game hunting isn't even a challenge anymore - I don't miss !. This gun is so accurate, you only need one shot.

Pros
Pros : Super accurate, 10-rd mag, accurate. Did I mention this gun is accurate?

Cons
nothing

Good price, light, accurate, but less than 50 rounds won’t cut it

Pros
It’s a tack driver. Sighted in at20 yards and was putting pellets in the same hole in three shots using a lead sled

Cons
Leaks like a sieve 3000 psi leaks down is less than an hour. Sent it back. Don’t know if I will ever see it again

I exchanged a Gamo Fusion that wouldn't shoot a four inch group at 15 yards. The Benjamin Fortitude is a tack driver! Dime size groups again and again and again. Extremely light, quiet, and no recoil. I paired it with a Mantis 3-9X40AO.

Pros
Love it!

The barrel seems a bitt loose thought I know it should be a free floating it but it makes Clunking noise like it’s loose

Pros
Light, bolt action, easy to fill, overall very accurate and extremely quiet!

Cons
The stock is a bit ugly, feels a little long

The original rifle I ordered would not hold air pressure and it was returned for a replacement. The replacement PCP seems to be holding are just fine. I sighted the rifle in at 10 yards with an inexpensive scope and I'm thrilled at its accuracy. This is my first PCP and I would highly recommend this rifle to anyone getting into their first PCP. I use a hand pump to pressurized the rifle, and although it does take some effort, it is very doable. Without making any adjustments, I got about 70 shots before the pressure went down to about a thousand PSI. The reason for four stars is the finish on the metal parts. The bluing on the barrel on both rifles is very blotchy. Other than that, this is a great rifle.

This is my first PCP, 22 cal., and I love it! The rifle is accurate, quiet and since it's regulated, you get a lot of shots on one 3,00 PSI fill. I used a hand pump, filled to the maximum 3,000 PSI and got 80 shots with 1,000 PSI still on the integrated pressure gauge. It also doesn't appear to be particular as to the pellets you use. I mounted a $39 CVlife scope and using Crossman Premier Domed Ultra Magnum 14.3gr pellets, shot 1/4 inch or smaller groups at 10 meters. The reason for the 4 stars is due to the poor bluing, very blotchy. Also make sure your rifle will maintain air pressure. The first one I received would lose over 500 PSI within a couple of hours. I returned that rifle and the replacement maintains air pressure just fine.

Pros
Powerful, quiet, accurate, light weight, nice trigger

Cons
Poor finish on barrel, Plastic stock seems cheap

I'm thinking about buying one of these guns (Benj Maximus Hunter) and my question is: What kinda valve stem does it have? Will a regular bicycle pump work here or do we have to buy the pump advertised (as part of the 'kit')?

asked Christopher from USA

The hand pumps for airguns pump up to 4500 PSI. Regular handpumps go to 150 PSI . You need a high pressure pump. PCP airguns all take from 2000-3600 PSI. The Fortitude takes 3000 PSI.

What is the trigger like, is it a heavy pull or have any stiffness to it if so can you adjust it

asked Brody from USA

Is there a single shot tray for this gun. I've had nothing but bad luck with my guns and the magazines that came with them. One gun had 2 mags and both failed after the first use. Thankfully there was a tray otherwise there would have not been any shooting that day. Another gun the pellets don't feed into the barrel very well from the tray. I have to tap the pellet with the bolt until it lines up so I can push it in the barrel. Forget that with a magazine.

asked Dean from USA

What is the guns country of origin/manufacture?

asked Ed

I have B Marauder that shoots fine but I have arthritis in my hands and want a lighter more maneuverable squirrel gun. Own compressor so no problem filling pcp. Does it use same 22cal mags. Also I assume the scope fits both but I probably will get a smaller one to save weight. Would this rifle be easier for me to shoot.

Decisions,Decisions! Help ,friendly people of the pcp genre. I have a Benjamin Marauder, (.22 cal.) , but want something in .177 cal. to be able to shoot the spinners with my grandsons.Must be a pcp repeater & not a single shot. Also something not so bulky as my Marauder. I am looking hard at the Benjamin Fortitude & also the Diana Stormrider & possibly the Benjamin Maximus, yeah I know it's a single shot, so it really doesn't qualify for what I want to do. I may buy it anyway & use it in other ways. If you have any opinions about the rifles I am thinking of I sure would like to hear them. I do have a scuba tank for filling pcp's. At seventy nine yrs.old I kinda frown on using hand pumps.Haven't found the Fortitude in stock anywhere yet, but I will wait until Prymayd Air gets then in if I go that route.Gotta get off this fence I'm on, been there too long. I just need your help. Open for all suggestions, including other rifles.Have younger friend I shoot with, mostly center fired rifles & he's very competive, as I am also. Will be setting up range for pellet rifles & pistols. Spinners, dueling trees , filled water bottles , clay pigeons, silloettes, paper targets & games, etc. You get the drift. I' m excited about doing this. Best Regards to you all & have fun shooting. Jericho in Oklahoma.

asked Jerry from USA

What is cost of good scope and pump for this? Couple hundred dollars might as well get a magrader combo but still need a pump.

Regarding the 'Benjamin Fortitude' for using the 'Hill Pump mk4':- In addition to a 'Male Quick Disconnect fill fitting', do I need to get an 'Air Venturi Foster Female Quick-Disconnect'?
