Mark from USAMy Defender bb pistol suddenly stopped shooting. The trigger operates with the safety off just as it does with the safety on. I press the trigger all the way back and nothing happens. CO2 cartridge is good. Any suggestions what to do? I like the pistol and want to get it working again.

CharlesI've tried replacing several co2 cartridges and they all leaked severely when I tried screwing them in. The leak's all came from the seal. Is the seal defective? They were new co2 cartridges.

r adam from USAThe Colt Defender does not use magazines, the pistol grip pops back and you load it on the side of the handle, but don't let that deter you this is still one of my personal favorites, it has alot of power and is alot of fun to shoot.
Ed from USAKevin, the Colt Defender's magazine feed is an integral part of the pistol grip and holds 16 BB's. Unfortunately there is no way to replace the "clip" as there really is no "clip". I have found that the 16 shots are plenty and the ease of reload is such that I have not missed being able to exchange clips.

asked David RobinsonI have found the Colt Defender to be very reliable and remarkably accurate. In addition one CO2 cartridge lasts much longer than the number of shots referenced. I have owned two other air pistols in the last 50 years and I like this one the best. My only complaint is the length and weight of the trigger pull, but even that is becoming less of an issue the more I shoot this neat little weapon. I would purchase this pistol again if I am ever able to wear this one out!

RonI have purchased this gun and I love pretty much everything about it. I have recently noticed that when I load a co2 cartridge, it leaks... is there a way to fix this? The rubber around the needle looks pristine... but that is where its leaking. Have you experienced any of these issues? If so were you able to fix them?
asked NickTry putting a drop of PellGun oil on the tip of the CO2 powerlet before installing it into the pistol. The seal needs a little lubrication to help seal. AirgunDepot sells the PellGun oil.
Tod from USAtry putting a drop of pell-gun oil on the end of the co2 cartridge or replace the seal. try to not shoot rapid fire as this will harden the rubber seal. remember your buying a $30.00 pistol. all my co2s are refurbs and all work perfectly

JoYes Always put a dab of Air gun Lube on the top where t willseal works every time and will keep it from seeping. if you do not shoot your Rifle or Pistols or Revolvers Co2's everyday ,that is. Just like our real firearms Maintenance is key.Keep your guns wet ready to fire and dust cover them when not in everyday use.Take care of your investments as Real Live Ammo is expensive ,a great economical Training device, and helps introduce The Newbie our Kids and also Liberals or doubters to our World. Then work your way up to blow Back Co2 Steel BB and Pellet and don't forget Airsoft to.
Vrmnt Hntr 45 from USARULES ... never over tighten the CO2 ,, use all the air up in a CO2 canister .. and when the gun is not being used take the CO2 out .. oil and clean your guns regularly .. and for a quick fix to your seal leaking use a strip of plummers tape over the tip of the CO2 but once the seal is damaged the gun is just cheaper to buy a new one then it is to get it fixed unless you work for a BB gun store where you can get the parts and do the repair your self .
Barry from USAQuick fix only is to use a small strip of plummers tape over tip of the CO 2 tube before you load the CO 2 in the gun .. but once a air gun leaks the seal is damaged and the gun either needs a new seal or it is just cheaper to throw it out and buy a new .. all my guns are work excellent .. RULE . always use all CO 2 up when shooting your guns oil them after every 3 rd. time and NEVER over tighten the CO 2 and NEVER leave the CO 2 in the gun to give the seal a break ...

Scott from USAI bought this gun just before xmas 2011. Fired it off & on for about 2 months. I really like the gun. Untill i went to replace the CO2 tank. The 2nd and 3rd tank leaked out. so I looked for a seal or o ring in the pistol port and didnt see or find one. I tried the drops of oil & still leaked out. Q1- is there a seal or oring in the gun that prevents leakage? Q2 what does it look like & where can i buy some? Q3 does this problem happen with every co2 tank change? Q4 what can i do to resolve this problem permantly or at least for a 5 box of CO? Thanks i appreciate any info that will help solve this problem

asked Barry BivinsI had the same thing happen to mine. It leaked out of the barrel, not around the cartridge. I put a few drops of 3 in 1 oil down the barrel and also a drop on a new cartridge before putting it in. I shot about 30 shots through it quick and it has solved the problem so far. I also stopped re-using bbs just in case that was causing the trouble, but I have a cardboard trap so that shouldn't be causing the problem. I use Copperhead bbs and they do have some imperfections so maybe there's a better bb out there.

Did you you leave the CO2 canister in the gun? If so it could have caused the seals to break down. You could try to use some Crosman Pellgun oil to help re lubricate the seals. Put one to two drops on the tip of a fresh CO2 cartridge and insert it into the gun. That could stop the leak.
If it doesn't you may want to see if you can get it repaired under warranty.

This weapon was fine. It was the M84 that had the problem with the sliding grip.
