I started with the frame, then added the slide, followed by the red dot sight. After that, I installed a JTH magwell and finally included a light. The last step will be to install a new trigger, as I don't like hinged triggers. The complete gun was out of stock, and I was feeling impatient. So far, I am pleased with my build and purchase. I was on the fence. I wasn't sure if I should invest in a Glock 43X, and pay $549 for a proven firearm (without an micro optic). Or, Get a PSA Dagger Micro, with an RMS cut and pay $359. I chose well. I was able to add a Micro / Onsight-S for $199. Total before tax $558. Put 150 rounds down range with zero issues. I am very impressed with the fit and finish, and 15 round mags compared to Glocks 10 round. PSA delivered another great product, made here in South Carolina!!

Finally I found my micro carry! I liked the Glock 43x when I tried it but the capacity was crap and the curves and texture of Glocks is just not appealing to me, but the PSA Dagger fits perfectly in my larger hand thanks to the longer grip than other micros and the texture feels great. Overall very pleased no issues. The only thing I would suggest is like the 43x you have to grind down the screw on the right side of the mos if you put on a RMR to stop the screw from interfering with the extractor. If you want a perfect fitting holster that is super comfortable be sure to buy from Bordertown Holsters.

The Micro Dagger is the carry weapon I've been looking for. I have the full frame version and really liked the feel. The Micro is just a thinner version of it. Same angle without leaving your pinky hanging like other subcompacts. Put 150 rounds through it with only 4 ejection issues. Can't wait to get it broken in better.

Original review would have been 1 star, but let me explain. Went to FFL to run a check and receive my gun. They had some not so nice things to say about the dagger micro and their magazines, but it's a brick and mortar gun store so you kinda expect it. Cool guys though, story's not really about them. Upon getting it home and playing with it, I noticed the trigger would not reset everytime when dry firing. It was 50/50 initially after maybe 50 times it went to 75/25. It was basically bone dry, so I field stripped it and looked for flaws then oiled it. Reset went to 95/100. Took it to the range 3 days later ( plenty time for the oil to get in the nooks and crannies) and it shot great. Absolutely ZERO problems. I've been to the range twice and put 150 to 200 rounds through it with no failures or problems. I also own a glock 43x ( wife's EDC) and the dagger is my secondary EDC. No malfunctions out of either but Glocks been around forever and has track record of reliability is why it's her EDC. Not because there's a difference in shooting them. I did about the same with both. It has a good trigger for new gun owners for self defense but not for me. In all fairness my EDC is Canik Mete SC9 along with the dagger micro as a backup. If got the extra 100 bucks and want the Glock I don't judge but if not save the money grab one of these.

I really like the gun haven't had any problems can't give it 5 stars because when I received at my ffl the top part of the barrel was already scratch and one more thing it comes in a nice soft case that I will never use again so it would be nice if instead of the case psa would send a second magazine I know there only 32 dls but after tax and shipping it's another good 45 also that you have to spend but other than that no complaints with the performance of the gun.

I am a retired LEO with 33 years experience. I worked as a Patrol Officer, SWAT Operator, Detective, Firearms Instructor and Supervisor. I feel like I have some credibility to review firearms as I have carried and shot various brands / types for decades. Let me begin by saying I was skeptical of PSA firearms. Having been a loyal Glock, Sig and S&W fan and a Glock carrying LEO I wasn't sure about PSA. A friend of mine (who is still an active LEO) bought a Compact Dagger "for a fun gun" as he put it and was going on and on about how much he liked shooting it, how great its performance was and (gasp!) how he liked it more than his Glock 19!! I bought this gun after considering his opinion and I was looking for a CC gun with great capacity and a smaller footprint. I took a chance on this Micro Dagger when I got a notification it was in stock. Jump when you get the notification because they don't stay in stock long. I love this gun. It's better than everything I'd hoped for. Its fit and finish is really great. It comes in a nice bag (that was a surprise) and one magazine. Kind of a disappointment it only ships with one mag, but additional magazines were readily available when I bought the gun so I ordered an extra. The trigger was a little gritty right out of the box, but the slide was smooth and everything seemed great. I took it for its first range session after I cleaned and oiled it.......I always clean new guns before shooting. At the range, I was little let down...at first. The first few magazines I had a couple FTF with 124gr Federal Red box ammo. I was worried it was going to be a problem but turns out it wasn't. After 3 mags full I adjusted my grip a little.....turns out it was probable me....or it just needed a little break in but after those first 3 mags, now about 300 rounds its been flawless since the first few mags. The trigger has definitely smoothed out and its actually (gasp!) much nicer IMHO than my Glocks. Accuracy is as good as I can manage. The recoil is minimal for a small frame pistol. The Micro fits in the G43X holster I purchased perfectly. This gun has earned a place in my EDC rotation. I was looking for something smaller than a G19 or M&P9 compact. I was a diehard fan of both of those for EDC, but with warmer weather coming up I think I'll be favoring this Micro.....I shoot it better than My Sig P365 and it has a little more substantial feel to it without a much larger footprint AND a 15 round mag instead of 10. Its far less "snappy" than the Hellcat I owned and I find I can shoot it much more accurately. The "carry cut" of the slide is a welcome innovation. It helps minimize the "digging in" of the slide corner on your gut. I know preference for firearms can be a personal choice, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Micro Dagger. I always used to recommend a Glock 19 to new shooters looking to get into the hobby, but I've recommended PSA Daggers a couple times now and the Micro Dagger to seasoned shooters looking for a CC gun. I own and use several makes / calibers including Staccato, Glock, Sig, Smith and Wesson, Kimber, Ruger and Walther. I'm not sure about long term durability because I only have about 300 round through this Micro, but so far I have little doubt this Micro will stand up and shoots as well as my others.

This is a great value, I’m giving 4 stars because when you buy it you are buying a value gun and that is exactly what you get. This is not cheap in quality but also does not come as refined as more expensive firearms. I do think I like it more than my Glock 43 but only have 100-200 rounds through each. Received my dagger micro last week and really like the pistol a lot. I had my gunsmith put trueglos on it right away, cleaned and lubricated it first thing, and took it to the range to shake it down. I put 105 rounds through it- 115gr, 124gr, and some 124gr HSTs (all I'll carry) and it cycled every round. I had one instance where the trigger didn't reset but could have been my grip as it was late in the count. Reset and didn't occur again. I really like single stack Glocks and carry a 43X but 15 rounds is a big plus with this pistol. I will fire it more before I add it to my carry guns but so far it's great! I searched for a holster as it doesn't fit my 43X $35 holster and came across BORDERTOWN HOLSTERS in Arizona. They made it without the sweat guard extension to my spec, and had it out in ship within an HOUR. Got it today and it fits perfect! Can't recommend this company enough. Overall I like the fit of this dagger in my hand- it shoots well, and so far reliable. Clean it good before you fire it. Nice little pistol for the money, y'all.

For the price you can't not bite. Exact G43x mos copy with a better grip and texture and sights and slide and mags? Theres a pattern here. Not a fan of the hinged trigger feel, especially while resting so I had to keep a star for that, but it works superb when you're firing it.

$340 for working handgun, you really can't complain about much. Not to mention, it's an optics ready micro 9 with a 15 round mag out of the box? This thing blows Glock out of the water. I had a 48, and this is my new EDC. A few things I wish were different: I'm a slim guy, but standing up and sitting down, the outer edge of the rear sight is so sharp that it actually cuts into my belly. I wish they were rounded. I had to file it just a little. The return spring assembly has burrs or something. Recoil alone isn't enough to push the slide back for last round hold open. I can do it manually, but the slide won't lock back when I'm shooting. I'm not wild about the hinged trigger. And it's very spongy. Finding the wall where it breaks is difficult.I already had a TLR6 when I picked this thing up, and I didn't want to buy a new holster. I needed a Dremel the TLR6 to make it fit. Don't be like me. If you're going to put a light on your Dagger, spend the extra coin and get a TLR7. Im going to.
