Can a vegan chili taste good?
Most definitely! Three types of beans, cooked slowly with corn, onions, tomatoes and spices will have you thinking it was homemade. We encourage carnivores to add their preferred protein to the dish, such as ground beef or summer sausage.

Beans are protein-packed powerhouses. This is why each serving of our Three Bean Chili contains 16g of protein, or 32g for an entire double serving. Not only that, but when you add corn and beans together, they form what is known as a complete protein, allowing a vegan dish to have the essential amino acids found in animal protein.

Smoked Three Bean Chili Directions

X Tear pouch open and REMOVE oxygen absorber.
X SINGLE SERVING Add one and a quarter cups (300ML) of BOILING (yes, boiling) water to bag.
X DOUBLE SERVING Add two and a half cups (600ML) of BOILING (yes, boiling) water to bag.
X STIR and reseal. HANG OUT for 20 minutes. Think about how big the universe is.
X OPEN. STIR AGAIN. EAT. SMILE.
X Rehydration will take LONGER at higher altitudes.

Good for at home lunch and great on the road

I have stuck by the Risotto for a long time and hadn't had the chili in a long time. I recently got a 6-pack and am so glad I did! If I have a short lunch break, it is perfect. I have also taken these on road trips and they have made a big difference after a day of granola bars. Delicious and perfect every time.

Good, but the corn rehydrates rubbery

I've had at least 10 packets in different environments. Almost all with a rolling boil of water added.

The flavors in this are great, but the way the corn rehydrates is odd. It comes out very chewy - like a starburst candy, it will get stuck in your molars and make the whole consistency of the chilli off. This is why I dropped from 5 to 4 stars. The rest of the chilli is great. It would be worth removing the corn completely if you cant get it to rehydrate well.

No Flavor, Small amount

I splurged on one of these packets on my AT thru hike. It tasted as if beans were put into the package, but they forgot to add the spices. Zero flavor. And, the portion was maybe enough to feed a toddler. I will never buy from them again. Unless you're rich, please don't spend your money on this.
