Dodona offers a serene escape surrounded by beautiful landscapes, making it ideal for those seeking tranquility. Richard, the host, is consistently praised for his warm hospitality and willingness to accommodate guests, enhancing the overall experience. The campsite is well-equipped with amenities, and guests appreciate the spaciousness and natural beauty, including a refreshing creek and access to a pool. While overwhelmingly positive, a few reviews mention minor issues like property access and pool maintenance, but these don't overshadow the peaceful and welcoming atmosphere.
Dodona was the most magical experience. We have just had a winter retreat and from the glorious maples in fiery red to the running creek singing in the night to the abundance of delicious fruit trees this stay was hands down the best we’ve had. Richard is a charming and knowledgeable host only too happy to accommodate anyone and anything. Could not be happier and we are always planning our next visit. Your stay with Richard goes towards a wonderful charity too, make sure you ask about the great things charity:water are doing!
We only spent one night here but had an amazing stay! Richard was the most welcoming and lovely host and let us use his washer, kitchen and invited us in to keep warm at his fire place.
A gorgeous place and super friendly host.
Highly recommend :)
Absolutely loved staying here! i felt so welcomed by Richard and loved getting to spend time with the fellow campers and Richard in the evening by the fire. Richard was so accommodating and friendly, felt like a home away from home. Thank you Richard! 🩷
A beautiful, tranquil spot. Even with endless rain, my kids had a wonderful time. Well located between the beautiful villages of Coramba and Nana Glen.
We arrived bit late and it was rainy so, cause of 2wd campervan, and the grass/land was bit wet so we ended up parking infront of Richard’s house frontyard 😅 . It was quite nice sites to get yourself out from busy places. Fire pit was there, we had cozy nights.
I would really like to thanks to Richard’s wife? She helped us get our campervan which got stuck in frontyard. Even though it was raining, she helped us to get us out.
I would highly recommend this place.
Beautiful location with a picturesque flowing creek accessible from within the campsite area. We enjoyed 5 nights with two families and two family sized caravans and still had plenty of room to enjoy. Even with a visit from some overnight campers we didn’t feel imposed upon. We will definitely booking in another stay when time allows.
Richard met us at the gate and provided instructions on how to get there beforehand. He was very hospitable and friendly. The site was large and away from others. I ran out of gas during my stay and the small township of Coramba was only a short drive away to get these filled. The pool on the property was under maintenance and repairs so it was out of use but the Orara River was close by. There is a small creek by the property but getting down to was a bit tricky but for the price none of these were a deal breaker. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again 😁
We stayed one night on our way back up to QLD. Handy location to Coffs. Peaceful spot. Refreshing creek.
Richard was a friendly and accommodating host. We will be back again.
Lovely quiet spot to camp or stay in caravan set ups. You can relax & enjoy the property or explore the local area and only 15mins into Coffs Harbour. The host Richard was welcoming and easy going. Plenty of space on our visit with only 2-3 other campers. Beautiful soft green grass which drained quickly following a big down pour on our arrival. Dogs allowed off leash which was a lovely break from the rope/lead for our fur ball. A creek runs around the edge of the property which is good for swimming in or you can use the pool on the property. Good spot overall. Would stay again. Only neg is access into the property from the road & into the fields is tight. Any van over 21 ft will require some skill.
An absolutely beautiful little slice of paradise!
Camped here with my partner and doggo, Ric is an amazing host!
We only intended to stay a few nights but needed up extending for just over a week!
Definitely recommend 🔥😇😊
Dodona was a lovely place and Richard is very kind, helpful and made sure we had a great stay.
We felt really comfortable and the wide fields created lots of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. Richard looked out for all his guests and introduced everyone to us. We felt welcomed and the scenery couldn’t be any better as well. If possible we will definitely be back and we would recommend it to everybody to stop by, and spend some time to relax and enjoy.
I loved camping in my swag at Richard's place! It was my first Hipcamp and my first time ever camping. I felt welcome and safe, I had the best sleep and I loved chilling out and waking up in such a peaceful place down by the trees. Exactly what I needed on so many levels. Thank you, Richard 😊🏕🙏
