Nice Bralette

As a 36D the size chart recommended L, but I found XL a much more comfortable fit. The band is a little looser than I’d like, but the L band was too tight and the cups cut in too much and were just plain too small. Was pleasantly surprised to find that the cups do have an opening at the top so if you wanted to insert foam cups for shaping or modesty you could. I think this might contribute to the puckering that happens at the top of the cups, though. (See photo with red circle; the puckering is visible under light clothing but not with a light sweater on top). The straps are adjustable from the front. They are not as supportive as they could be and cut in a bit because they’re so slim. On sale, these bras are still more than I’d usually spend, but I’ve recently developed an appreciation for merino (doing the Wool& 100 day dress challenge; I’m realizing how sweaty and unbreathable most of my clothing is, especially bras/bralettes!) The packaging is nice as there’s no plastic in sight! I’ve heard that Icebreaker doesn’t understand how to size up their bras, and I’d agree. Wish it were more big-bust friendly, but it’s still the most comfortable bra-type article I own and I’m glad I bought two!

Beautifully made. Lovely material. Great Quality. Not capable of any support whatsoever. Visions of slings and hammocks come to mind. If you are over a C cup, walk away and keep moving. If you want the soldiers to face forward and march with their eyes up, pass this holster by. Giving it 3 stars because they should be able to make a wool bra that has some definitive support and not just a woolie blanket to cuddle.

comfy bralette.

To Icebreaker's credit, they don't try to claim this is a bra for the large busted, but this isn't much worse than most bralettes. I'm a 38DD, and this bra fits in the band, but the cups are not quite enough. Unlike many bralettes, tho, I find that the low v of the design means that these are quite comfy, even with the too-small cups. Quite like wearing a triangle string bikini top -- if that's the kind of support you want, this is a bralette for you. Wool means it breathes tho, and overall, quite comfy. Also the red is a great color. Doesn't come with the little padded insets to hide the nips, but has a pocket for them if that's a must for you.

Disappointing

I wanted to love this bra but had several issues with fit and fabric. Fit: I’m 36D and the medium was tight in the band and large was too loose in the band. The cups are VERY minimal coverage for both sizes. No side support in this bra. Actually no support at all for women who are more ample. Straps are extremely thin and loose therefore no support. Also as others have said there’s odd fabric puckering at the top of each cup so it’s visible under clothing. As for the fabric, I have sensitive skin and although I’m ok with merino wool; I found this to be very itchy and couldn’t wait to take it off. Returning for sure. The search continues, sigh…

New version has bad fit

I loved the version of this bra from early 2021, I wear it all the time. I bought another one only to find they changed the band/cup size. The medium size band fit but the cup size was larger than before. Going down to the small size meant the cup size was right but the band too tight. They also no longer include the inserts, which is frustrating when paying so much. I ended up returning this, and hope the next version will go back to the old sizing.

Disappointed with quality

I ordered this is a small and a medium since I'm usually in between sizes (32C petite) and ended up keeping the small. I don't love the pleats at the top of the cup because they don't give a seamless look under tanks, but I figured I could still use it for looser tops. I do also like the removable pads since I prefer a bit more shape. I am also confused by the strap since I had to let them out all the way and I'm pretty petite so I have no idea how a tall person could make them work. Since I did also return the other size I can speak to the returns process which was easy enough, but the refund has taken a really long time. I can track the shipping and see it was delivered back at the warehouse over a month ago but still no refund. I would have probably given it 4 stars had it been for the discoloration I saw in multiple parts of the band after the first washing. I washed it in a mesh bag, with like colors and cold water and with other wool garments and this item was the only one affected. Very disappointed as the discoloration is very noticeable when wearing it since that stretches the band.

Tough for Busty Ladies

It's so hard to find wool bralettes that fit large cups and small bands. Wool& scoop and Branwyn busty bralettes were busts. I didn't have high hopes for this but I got one on sale so yolo. I am a 34DD and ordered a medium which fit the ribcage, but my DD cups spill over the sides creating a quadra-boob situation. It's still sorta wearable as a lounge bra so I'll keep it for summer traveling with loose shirts but I wish these wool companies would test on this body type when designing :( I just want a bra option that doesn't get stinky with sweat! Heads up that this bra was scratchier upon arrival than the siren underwear I have but it gets better with washing.

Love this Siren padded bralette!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Siren bra (really a bralette) has always had pockets where you could add your own padding. I appreciate that they now have the option where the bra comes with inserts! I own several of these and love them. The only improvement would be to cover the elastic band with merino. It sometimes chafes if my skin is dry, and after long sweaty days I don't love the plastic-y elastic because it literally seems to stick to my skin when the sweat dries. A merino band would be far better since the rest of the bra is merino!! 5'7" 140lbs (I carry all my weight in my hips), 34B. I wear medium in all Icebreaker Siren and bra items and small in their regular non-Siren tops (like tshirts).

Best bra

I waited a bit to submit my review, so I would know if my opinion had changed at all. It hasn't; I absolutely LOVE this bra!!! I have three and have exclusively worn them every single day for a couple of months now, and I couldn't be any happier. Super soft, super comfy, and you still actually have boobs, even being a smaller chested woman. I hope this is never discontinued, because I am a lifer for this bra!!! The tags are easily cut out for comfort, the straps easily adjustable and never fall down. The cups are just thick enough for no accidents, and it breathes!! Love! I'm a 36B and ordered a Large.
