Nice quality rain pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the pants and rain jacket both in the minimalist line. I tested them in rainy days on two hikes. It was not downpour but pretty heavy rain and both pieces hold up. I did size up so I could wear them over my polar leggings.

Runs snug in the hips

Pants run about a size small. The medium - my usual size- was snug on my hips and I couldn’t possibly put another layer under it.

Did not stay waterproof for long

I purchased these pants in July 2021 and loved them! That changed six months later when they were no longer waterproof.

Go without out pants

Love these pants!! As a landscaper it’s easier for me to wear a wool layer and these pants than to wear a cotton duc and put rain gear over. Awesome in the weather

The cut is weird and pulls at back waistband.

These pants seemed great... until I walked or moved in them. As soon as I took a step, I could feel the back waistband pulling down. If I crouched, I could feel the whole "plumber crack" thing happening. These aren't cut right. I'm 5'6", 125lbs, athletic and got the medium which was the right size. The "articulated knees for improved mobility" are great, but they need to "articulated" the rear end or cut it differently so there's some flex for when you walk/move. Other than cut, they seemed like awesomely made pants. I'm really bummed the cut wasn't better... had to return them.

Runs small

I thought the button or seams were going to pop when I squat down and I'm average slim build, and I have a large phone -s21 ultra- barely fits in the pocket and if so, it's right on the front of your hip so forgetting trying to squat without bending your phone or impaling your hip with it.

Great, Light-weight Hiking Pant

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are my favorite pants for camping, hiking & just walking around on our land. They are light-weight and fit well. My husband has the men's version and has loved them for years.

Glad I bought these pants!

These pants were PERFECT for use in wet weather. I used them on a trip to Alaska where it rained almost day and I slide them on over my hiking pants. Great comfort, great mobility, and I never got wet.

Can't Take Them On/Off with Hiking Boots

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it
Size Bought:
small
Height:
5' 6"
Weight:
120

I don't know why it's so difficult to find rain pants for backpacking, but for some reason, all the pants are slim legged and, not only are they uncomfortable when wearing hiking pants underneath, but it's impossible to take them on/off with hiking boots on. I don't know about you, but when I'm caught out in a rainstorm, I don't want to stop, take off my hiking boots (and possibly gaiters), put the rain pants on, then put my boots back on. I am looking for rain pants that are quick on and off and useful year round. These are not those pants. If you want stylish, good quality pants for walks or runs or even hiking, I'm sure they're great, but these are not backpacking rain pants. Plus they're ridiculously short (and I already expect my pants to be too short).
