Why We Like The Backcountry Access Tracker S Rescue Package
Keeping us fully equipped for the backcountry, the Backcountry Access Tracker S Rescue Package combines the simple and effective Tracker S avalanche beacon, Stealth 270 probe, and B-1 EXT shovel. The Tracker S beacon is a favorite of ours due to its intuitive direction and distance indicators that take most of the guesswork out of searching. Toggling the Tracker S between search and transmit mode is a one-finger move, and the large singular button is easy to operate with gloves on. The B-1 EXT shovel is compact and lightweight, with a telescoping aluminum blade and ergonomic T-grip handle, and BCA's Stealth 270 probe features high-vis depth markings and a strong tip to penetrate dense snow easily.

unreliable
The shovel broke on my first outing. Specifically, the spring loaded pin that locks the handle to the shovel broke so it would not stay put or be efficiently used. Luckily there were no emergencies and we could share another shovel.
