Ultra 3 is hands-down my new favorite trail shoe I’ve ever worn. As always, the grip is insane—especially on slick, uneven terrain—and the added cushioning makes a huge difference over long distances. I love the roomier toe box and the locked-in heel fit. Plus, this limited edition green color is 🔥. Light, durable, and built for performance—VJ nailed it with this one. Highly recommend!

Their comfiest model yet! I have tried nearly all the VJ shoes in the last 4 years and this one is one of the best for overall training miles, whether on the treadmill, road or trail. These have a generous toe box which I appreciate very much and are super light. Love the neutral colorway in tan or black. Overall a great and very versatile shoe, two thumbs up.

I was skeptical at first when I heard about the shoe being versatile for any terrain so I put it to the test right away. I brought it to a technical trail in Colorado because I wanted to make sure I got the same stickiness as I would with the Ultras and it passed. Then I wore them on the treadmill to see how they would respond to a firmer terrain and they were comfortable. Overall, they exceeded expectations and the fact that they have the wide toe box really helps keep space for the toes when running longer. Highly recommend!

Love this new Flow shoe from VJ. Its light, quick, roomy toe box and grippy as can be. Snagged some strava crowns on some downhills in these bad boys. Thanks VJ for continuing to innovate. Looking forward to the new Ultra 3!

These shoes are incredible! I love that I can wear them for a run, use them during workouts, or simply rock them as my everyday shoes. The wider toe box is so comfy, and my toes feel free and happy. The cushioning and lightweight design are just perfect! And Absolutely love the color!

Though the first pair was impossibly small and short, when I sized up, the fit is perfect and very comfortable. I love the wide toe box and the fact that they are genuinely waterproof. I have tried zero drop wide toe shoes but they seem to hurt my knees. These are stable and sure footed.

I loved these boots. They are surprisingly warm and of course they have a great tread. I think they run about a half size smaller than other VJ shoes. Sadly my new puppy enjoyed chewing my boots rendering them unwearable. I will likely purcase another pair at some point.

I’ve been really impressed with this shoe so far. The waterproof upper keeps your feet warm and dry in sloppy conditions and the PerFOAMance midsole is plush while maintaining control underfoot and doesn’t stiffen in the cold. The toe box is wider than the Maxx 2 but also seems to run a bit shorter, possibly due to the extra padding in the upper so it runs true to size especially if you’re wearing your winter socks! Shoe is comfy right out of the box and the grip is the standard VJ excellence. Really enjoying the shoe this winter!

I recently purchased the ACE studded shoes on January 4, 2025 and they arrived on the 10th. I normally wear a size men's 9, but I had read these fit a little small, so I ordered a 9.5. When I tried them on, they fit perfect.

Today I had my second run in them in -9 degree C, and about 3" of snow.

These shoes are so comfortable, warm, and relatively grippy although I did not run on ice but more or less hard packed snow covered roads.

It's too bad that these are only a winter shoe because if VJ would make a high stack road shoe similar to the ACE, I would be a customer for life.

If you are on the fence about this shoe, buy it. They are so good.

My 4th pair of VJ trail shoes, the Ace is money well spent: incredible traction with the micro spikes, wide foot bed, warm and waterproof. Now my go-to shoe for winter trail running. Highly recommended for any mountain goat who loves snow.

These shoes are cushy and comfortable with the wider toe box compared to my other VJ shoes.
