Salomon's tried and trusted shoe for the runners, hikers, and backpackers among us, the Speedcross 5 is more equipped than ever for looser conditions like mud, soft dirt, and snow. Dependable but wear fast

Have purchased many versions of this shoe in the 10.5, fits true and are always dependable for grip on all types of terrain, even snow and ice. These don’t last as long as other runners or hiking shoes- I’ve gotten holes and worn the soles smooth on multiple pairs of Solomons. My teen boys’ hiking boots are Solomon’s and they have also worn the soles smooth sooner than expected. But they fit well and feel good on the trail.

Tread for days
Love these. I don’t even trail run. I just neec them on the daily in the Midwest. Keep me from breaking a hip with our ever changing weather.

On my second pair
I have purchased this shoe twice now. Once in the green, and my current pair is in a dark blue/teal. They are so nice and light weight. I run on roads, sand, dirt, gravel.. And the lugs make me feel safe and secure. I am currently trying to decide between the speedcross 5 & 6 for this purchase.

Amazing for Hockey
I’ve had a range of hockey shoes and these are by far the most comfortable and provide amazing grip on any surface.

Coming up on 20 years!
I bought the first pair years ago, and have purchased a new pair at least once a year since. They feel, always, custom-made for me. Lots of room for socks and toes.

My new favorite hiking shoe!
I have used Speed Cross 5 twice on treks through the Swiss Alps. They are lightweight, extremely comfortable, and durable. They are definitely my new favorite hiking shoe!

Best ever
I wore my first pair for 2 years before I even looked at the tread and noticed I had worn it down ALOT! I ran and hiked every free moment. I got my second pair 1 year ago. They've been just a great! We decided to go to Joshua Tree for a hiking vacation. I figured the terrain was going to be too hard on the shoes but I can imagine hiking with any other shoe. 53 miles later on the roughest granite rock and granite sand they are still wearable minus quite a bit of tread. What impressed me the most on that terrain was how grippy the shoes were. We ended up bouldering and pretend rock climbing and my feet never slipped! I just ordered my 3rd pair. I'll order the speedcross 6gtx soon to see how they compare. Please don't stop making these!!
