You will need to purchase a stem extender for $10 to $15. Search a few YouTube videos on mountain bike stem extenders.

Our bikes are tested in accordance with industry testing standards and regulations, which require that a variety of tests be conducted at different weights and forces. There are a number of factors that impact how much weight a bicycle can withstand including the type of riding, proper assembly, bicycle maintenance, and tire inflation.  It is important to make sure your bicycle is properly assembled and maintained. The owner's manual will provide a timetable for the maintenance that needs to be performed. It is also important to check your tire pressure on a regular basis.  We recommend speaking with your doctor before starting any new exercise routine.

Schwinn Boundary Excellent Bike

Get the 1x7. Not your ordinary dept store bike. 500$ quality for half the price. This is a great bike to upgrade components on. Intermediate level and if you start replacing wheels tires handle bars and pedals it gets expert level.  I’m 6’2.

Intermediate level MTB half the price!

My wife bought it for me 2 yrs ago, I have put an easy 500 miles on it and have had to do no more than a seasonal tuneup. I have had Giant, Mongoose, Specialized and GT bikes and for the money this stands toe to toe with those models $500-$800 bikes. Definitely a great recommend.

Excellent value mountain bike

I've been watching the bikes at my local Walmart (where I've worked before) for a while. I thought about the Axum, Ardor, Hyper aluminum, Boundary, Al Comp, etc. I chose the boundary despite not having internally routes cables, dropper post ready, or the wider tires like the ardor. However it's a 29er that controls as easy as a good 27.5  I'm 6'1 and pretty strong upper body but this bike is so much easier to control then the Axum and other 29s at Walmart. Love the bike but this store always has the bikes unlabeled or wedged in wrong. I remember mine was somehow wedged in under a white bar to the point that the front forks were depressed 2 inches and the wheel became misaligned from the bars. I forgot I saw that then later I bought the bike before remembering this was that bike after I saw the damage. The front reflector is broken, the brake levers are scraped up like it's fallen down a cliff, the Allen screws for the wheel and bar alignment are stripped to high heaven. All of their bikes are tossed around.

picked it up at the store still in the box got home put it all together was real easy since most of it is put together and a video on YouTube on how to adjust some things on it and it rode like a dream cant wait to start upgrading it

first ever walmart bike

This was an excellent upgrade for my 16 year old son from his 26" Diamondback.  He's now 5'-10" and growing and the Boundary is on the large end for him but will still fit as he grows.  I watched the Kevcentral reviews of the Boundary and agreed that it was a great buy based on it's trail features at a bargain price.  After fine tuning the brakes, adjusting handlebars and seat, it was perfect.   We did purchase a more comfortable MTB seat as the OEM is just too uncomfortable.  The Boundary was easy to assembly by following basic instructions provided as well as viewing online tips.  With the pandemic limiting inventory,  I was fortunate to have my order fulfilled and delivered.  Last year I had several orders that were cancelled by Walmart as demand far exceeded supply, so I set up notifications when the bike would be back in stock, and ordered within seconds of getting the email to improve my chances.  Persistence paid off in the end!
