this is a true workhorse worth every penny.

Love it!

Great! After using an old and very slow thermometer for years I finally spent the money for this one, and love it! I bake a lot of sourdough and it's wonderful to see my dough temp instantly. I'm very happy with it!

Long but honest review

I have to say I was reluctant to spend the money to buy one of these. I almost always spend the money to buy the best of everything in my mind but in this case I liked my other thermometer that lasted me years and it was less than $20 so why switch? I don't want to mention names but that thermometer was made by my favorite brand of charcoal kettles and I'm very loyal to that company which played another role in my reluctance to try a Thermapen. I follow Mad Scientist BBQ on YouTube though and couldn't get over his insistence on Thermapen as I trust his opinion as well and am very glad I did. I've only used it twice so far but my first impression was "oh, this is much nicer than my other one". I get it now and will likely be a Thermapen customer for life. Great product.

Can't live without it

The only thing better than the thermapen is thermaworks customer service. I have two and use them every day in the kitchen and I also use it to check the temperature in my aquarium when doing partial water changes. The speed and accuracy continues to impress me even after 3yrs of owning them. When I opened the back to change the battery in one of them the seal around the screw broke. I emailed customer service and received an immediate response. They emailed me a shipping label and I sent it back for repair. When the USPS lost it Thermaworks sent a replacement immediately. I don't know how I ever lived without these and I wish every company had such great customer service.
