Enjoy the best of both worlds, being only a few minutes off the Hwy and 2km from the beach, yet tucked up within the privacy and serenity of 55 acres of beautiful bush and wetlands. The property is a safe haven for an abundance of wildlife, including kangaroos, wallabies, bandicoots, possums, squirrel gliders, snakes, leaf-tailed geckoes, 12 species of frogs and a multitude of birds. Communal facilities include a covered outdoor camp kitchen, an amenities block with composting toilet and hot showers, and a fire circle/ seating area. Activities on the property include: - birdwatching (see if you can add to our list of 50+ species so far!) - spotlighting for nocturnal wildlife - find a quiet spot to sit and soak up the peace of nature... perhaps by the tranquil wetland overflow wall - bushwalking around the perimeter of the endangered Swamp Sclerophyll Forest - private orienteering course (bring your compass! Takes 1-2 hours) -Light a fire under the cast-iron outdoor bath and soak away any stress Attractions close to the property include: - beautiful beaches only 2 km away, great for swimming, surfing or whale watching from the headland - State Forest 2km away, great for hiking and mountain biking - Woolgoolga 5km away, with great cafes and shops We are friendly, nature-loving couple who feel very lucky to be custodians of this special land. We look forward to sharing it with others who wish to step outside the busyness of mainstream life and deepen their connection to nature. Due to the amount of wildlife around, we do not allow pets.

Tranquil Tent Camping

Tent site · Sleeps 5
For those wishing to camp in a tent or swag (i.e., not in/on/with your car), we have a couple of options: - Open grassy clearing on the left-hand side of the driveway as you come in (dispersed below the Home-On-Wheels bays). Parking is in the gravel bay opposite the amenities block (please don't park on the grass). There are a few little spots tucked in among the trees, so have a look around and take your pick. - Very own (mini) 'Big 4' camping area, which offers the full nature experience for those willing to set up a bit further from their vehicle (~100m). A shady glade surrounded by whispering Swamp Oaks and close to the wetland overflow wall, this area offers maximum peace and tranquility. It is walk-in only, but you can borrow a wheelbarrow to take your things down. If you'd like to take this option, park at the bottom of the driveway and follow the signs down from there. Have a look once you get here and decide where you'd like to be! Please note, these sites are for camping separately from your car. If you have a roof-top tent or wish to camp right next to your car, you will need to book one of our 'Home on Wheels' sites. Only one vehicle per camp site, please. If you have additional vehicle(s), you will need to book another site. All camp spots have access to the covered outdoor kitchen, the communal fire pit / seating area and the amenities block (with hot showers and composting toilet). Fires only in communal fire area, please (no individual fires). Set on a 55-acre bush and wetland property, which supports an abundance of native wildlife, and the beach and State Forest are each only 2km away. Go to 'Yellow Butterfly' property profile for more information. To protect our wildlife, we do not allow pets.

Nestled among tall trees, this campsite provides a serene escape with its eco-friendly amenities and well-maintained facilities. Guests often praise the hot showers, clean toilets, and the simple yet functional camp kitchen. The location is conveniently close to the highway, offering easy access while maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. However, some campers noted the presence of mosquitoes, so it's worth being prepared.
