We are friendly, nature-loving couple who feel very lucky to be custodians of this special land. We look forward to sharing it with others who wish to step outside the busyness of mainstream life and deepen their connection to nature.
Due to the amount of wildlife around, we do not allow pets.
Nestled among tall trees, this campsite provides a serene escape with its eco-friendly amenities and well-maintained facilities. Guests often praise the hot showers, clean toilets, and the simple yet functional camp kitchen. The location is conveniently close to the highway, offering easy access while maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. However, some campers noted the presence of mosquitoes, so it's worth being prepared.
Convenient stopover as it’s not too far off the highway (it feels remote, though!). Beautiful nature sounds, showers were lovely and hot, long drop toilet was clean and maintained. Hope to visit again when it’s less rainy, so we can enjoy one of the outdoor tubs :) thanks for a great stay!
Camping surrounded by tall trees and not so blue sky at times was very relaxing. Loved the walk to the creek and the paperbarks. Very relaxing place to stay.
Friendly hosts, lively spot, was really pleased with the facilities offered (simple but perfect camp kitchen, good toilet, great showers & fun bath!) Be prepared for the mozzies - we were able to simply move inside our tent as have space and needed to even with mozzi repellant & long clothing.
Would stay again in back in the area :-)
Had a lovely 3 night stay here while going to uni in Coffs. It’s quiet and really easy to get to. Facilities are also nice and I love the eco style! Bonnie’s it’s only about 5 minutes from Woolgoolga. Bring mozzie spray or citronella. Would definitely recommend :)
Great host! She recommended a great spot for us to see some wildlife and in turn made our trip up to brisbane so much more fun. Had a great sleep there with it being nice and quite and we had everything we could have possibly need for staying.
Great place! Beautiful scenery! The shared kitchen was clean and highly functional with anything you could need! We loved using the outdoor bathtub too
Roughing it in comfort. It felt like we were deep into a tropical forest with all kinds of fascinating forest sounds during the day and night. And yet it was close to main roads and with showers and bathrooms and a camp kitchen a few steps away. Great experience for if you want less of the manicured campground experience and more of an adventure.
This was bloody lovely! One word: AMAZEBALLS!✅ The hostess 💃 was bloody lovely🇩🇪 Lil tip💦 DONT TOUCH THE TOYSNAKE, NOT A TOY SNAKE HAHAHAHAHAHAHA👨❤️👨
I loved the place. It's so nice and curated, the amenities were too notch. I feel like I could have spent multiple days there. Hands down the best hipcamp location I've been so far
Really enjoyed the quiet and beautiful campsite. Camp kitchen was very handy with the heavy rain - comfy and clean with all required amenities. Amazing array of birdlife too, including a resident melodic grey shrikethrush. Would be keen to know what type of tree the sacred tree was. Thank you!
We met Paul on arrival and he was very welcoming and friendly. We had an awesome stay and really loved the work that had gone into creating this unique and quirky cabin.
I would recommend staying and we will definitely be back.
Great spot, and very attentive hosts. It was more like a proper campground with all amenities that you need for your trip. Definitely exceeded our expectations.
A lovely, neat, tranquil stay. My brother & I arrived late at night, but there was clear instructions that helped us navigate. Had it been daylight we wouldve also seen the cute handmade signs! The amenities were also skillfully crafted, and tidy, I had a warm shower in the morning - which had great pressure. Unfortunately we didn't have time to meet the hosts. I would definitely stay again!
Easy to get to when travelling along the coast , lush sites for tents and small campervan. The bush facilities are marvellous and quirkily designed. The continual hum of the nearby freeway was a in the background but not really distracting.
What an absolutely delightful spot! It was amazing to pull off the highway and very quickly be in this outdoor oasis. Really enjoyed our overnight and the toilet and outdoor shower were great and so eco friendly. Thanks for everything!
Lovely quiet spot. Really well equipped and clean kitchen. I used a tent and was very comfortable on the grass. I stayed during heavy rain and spotted leeches and noticed a lot of spiders taking refuge in the showers so beware if you are afraid of creepy crawlies. The kitchen felt sheltered and was a good spot to hang out and wait for the storms to pass. I would stay here again.
I stayed overnight on my drive home to. Brisbane. I was happy to come across this property because it’s so close to the freeway. I was even happier when I was there, because you wouldn’t know it! This is a quiet bushy area with a large lawned area to pitch the tent. The amenities are home-built and beautifully creative. (Clearly talented people living here!) Unfortunately I didn’t stay to check out more of the place because it was one of those very wet nights where you just throw all your wet gear in the back of the car first thing in the morning and keep going. But I did see, in the camp kitchen, a looong list of birds that have been sighted. Something for the future perhaps. I also discovered Sandy Beach itself- a lovely beach for a walk.
