Absolutely, the shoulder stock for the 1377 .177 version Crosman fits exactly, with only two screws . Remove hand grips and the stock fit perfectly on mine. It also improved accuracy tremendously for Long range targets. Basically turns it into a carbine type rifle when using the stock.

Also added the shoulder stock increased my accuracy to pin point bullseye shots using the .22 Excite lead pellets.

Unmodified I would say for plinking with open sights about 60 feet or 20 yards.

I would say 35 "good shots" 45 if you are punching paper of pop cans. After 35 the velocity starts to drop, I wouldn't recommend it for pest control after those first 35 shots.

40 highly accurate shots. I change after 40 although there are perhaps 10-20 more -- decreasingly accurate -- shots possible.

I get about 70 shots per CO2 cartridge. I always put a drop of Pellgun oil on the tip of each CO2 cartridge before inserting it into the gun. This oil keeps the seals pliable and preserves them.

By good shots I'll assume you mean shots BEFORE dropping from lack of CO2 pressure, and that varies between 18 and 29 on mine and the variance depends on pellets used as well as how long it sits between shots and air temp too.

As long as needed, just make sure you pellgun oil the tip before you insert the cartridge. If you only shoot maybe 30 pellets and there is still co2 inside, just leave in tube til next shooting.

Best to not leave cartridge in for a couple days, to avoid damage to the seals.

I only leave mine in overnight sometimes, and have had no problems or leakeage.

There is no magazine. This is a single-shot pistol only.

It means that each 12 gram co2 capsule will provide 60 shots. As a stock gun I found the gun to get about 40 shots. This is a great shooter for the money.

Yes, with proper shot placement you this gun is capable of a lot. That being said, why would you shoot a robin? They are protected as a song bird. The 2240 is a great gun that is easy to mod/improve.

Yes, for stock 2240 you can buy the 429 intermounts that mount on barrel. Or you can buy a replacement steel receiver/ breech that has a mount on top ( you lose the rear sight). Steel receiver is around $37.99.

look up Crosman steel breech kits, they run around 35-40$, more if you get them from other sites. Once modified you"ll have 11mm dovetail rails, if you want weaver/picatinny then there are adapters to change the dovetail to aforementioned mounts.

Yes, with a steel Breech..or u can go with a brass or aluminum breech, i went with a brass breech for my 2240 i bought here..Best custom breechs ive found come from Alchemy Airwerks! That is where i got the 1 in this pic for $66.00, the breech u can buy here is just as good, just not brass or aluminum!!

I have seen both laser sights that mount to the dovetail rails on the steel breech as well as a laser that clamps to the barrel hanging under the gun.

Crosman sells the adaptor mount for a scope or laser. I can use the laser or if it's real sunny, I can use the iron sites because there is a "tunnell" to site thru the scope mount.

Yes, the same scope that comes with the Crosman Model 2250B works with the Model 2240. The round barrel to dove tail adapter works with a dove tail rail laser scope.

i don't believe that you can mount a laser. you can call customer service and confirm as they are very helpful. it is a fun little co2.

I had the same issue. I bought one of these at a garage sale, and I took it apart, and it worked perfectly after that. Just make sure that the gas is all gone, ( just try shooting it ) then download the video instructions on how to disassemble the gun it is easy. You can completely rebuild these guns with just a few basic tools.

The CO2 carts go into the tube below the barrel. (the end twists off) In-order to scope it, you either have to upgrade to a Steel Breech *an aftermarket part* or buy the clamp on barrel adapters. (they're kind of like heavy duty clothes pins that clip around the barrel in front of the breech and you mount the scope on them.)

two options: get the dovetail inter-mounts (they clamp to the barrel and allow a scope to be mounted on the barrel) not the best solution but cheap OR get the steel breech kit and mount a scope to the 11mm dovetail rail it provides (this is the more expensive option) that being said i have steel breech kits on all my Crosman pistols/carbines and they hold a scope very well.

i think with a 18 barrel u can achieve it at aroound 40 yards or so yess

I would us a air rifle at that distance. I doubt there is any way you can achieve accuracy at that distance with a pistol.
