This cut a hole in my ursack immediately…it’s just a rough hewn piece of aluminum that probably cost $2.00 to build and ship. Not only is this thing junky, but it calls into question the effectiveness of the ursack. I am not putting this piece of junk in my backpack…I shudder to think what it would do to my tent and quilt after it blows out the ursack. Alas, on to heavy bear vault.

Worked fine...twice

After the bear mauls it you just pound it with a hammer to get it back in shape. These weren't wimpy maulings either. The ground was pummeled around where the bag was tied. Food is still usable after he gets done
