Everyone recognizes Aspen as one of the world’s premier winter destinations, but the warmer months bring in cozy temperatures, plenty of bluebird days, and a plethora of options for any outdoor enthusiast. Aspen Snowmass is a four-mountain system with its two standouts being the iconic Aspen Mountain and 14,000-foot Snowmass Mountain. The area also boasts hundreds of routes throughout the area, such as longer single pitch routes like El Diablo De Oro, pitch walls like the Grotto Wall Link, or Independence Pass, an often overlooked but ultra-worthy granite area. The high-alpine feel and picturesque walls with routes ranging from 5.6 to 5.11a offer something for everyone, whether you’re a newcomer or an experienced climber looking for a challenge.

This Multi-Pitch adventure is the best option for climbers who want to upgrade their skill and climb longer quality routes. Over the course of 6-9 hours, you can focus on transitions and moving efficiently through terrain and climb a minimum of 6 pitches with an expert guide. There is also a possibility to link up a number of 2-3 pitch walls, like the Grotto Wall Link! Enjoy the breathtaking scenic views as you put more experience under your belt and prepare for longer future adventures!

If you can climb a ladder, you’re good to go. Being in good shape is always a plus but far from necessary. Rock climbing is all about using good movement technique rather than muscling up a cliff using brute strength. To ensure you have a fun day, your guide will choose routes that best suit your skill and fitness level.
Aspen has plenty of options for beginner climbers. However, this is a multi-pitch climbing day and you should have some previous experience in rock climbing. Your guide will customize the day to suit your skill level and objectives. With a guide by your side, you’ll learn something new, stay safe on the rocks, and most importantly, have fun!
For intermediate to advanced climbers, Aspen has loads of routes to spend the day on. Your guide will discuss your objectives and customize the day to your goals. Let your guide plan the day so you can focus on developing your skills while climbing the classic routes or best hidden gems the area has to offer.
All technical climbing equipment will be provided by your guiding service. However, if you have your own gear, feel free to bring it. You’ll need:

Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans. If you are climbing in summer, keep in mind that the temperatures tend to be warm and mild, but can easily drop as you head up in elevation. Rain and thunderstorms occasionally occur so rain gear will be essential if necessary. You will travel in the backcountry and should be prepared for any or all weather conditions.

To get to Aspen, most people fly into Denver International Airport, 3.5 hours away. From there, you can rent a car or take a shuttle service. You can also fly into Aspen airport (ASE) which is a 15-minute drive away. You can hire a rental car, arrange a shuttle with your accommodation, or take one of the free city buses. The climbing areas are only around 15-25 minutes from downtown Aspen, offering amazing views of the surrounding peaks and the Roaring Fork River.
Once you and your guide agree on the details of your itinerary, your guide will suggest the best place to meet, whether that’s at Aspen Expeditions’ shop, at the base of Aspen Highlands, or another predetermined location. The guide will choose the appropriate terrain dependent on conditions and the ability of the group.

Fully refundable within the initial 48 hours from booking, unless the trip date is less than 7 days from the time of the booking.
Cancellations up to 7 days prior to the trip date are refundable 100%.
Cancellations within 7 days prior to the trip date are non-refundable.
