Why We Like The COROS VERTIX GPS Adventure Watch

Designed for the extreme adventurer, the COROS VERTIX GPS Adventure Watch takes all the APEX Pro Premium's fitness features and functionality. It takes durability to the ultimate level that showcases some astounding operating condition tolerances. As a multisport GPS sports-watch with wrist-base heart rate tracking, the VERTIX is faithful to everyday training for runs, hike, cycling, swimming, functional fitness, and other cardio sports. It guides us on structured workouts, gives feedback on running stride, overall fitness, sleep, recovery, and lets us navigate its touchscreen in map-modes to leave breadcrumbs and plot where we are on-trail. It even monitors our blood oxygen saturation to determine altitude acclimatization.

But where the VERTEX reaches for the extreme limits are in its diamond-like sapphire glass screen and durable titanium alloy construction. A heavily-fortified design pushes the operating temperature of the VERTEX to a range of -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, meaning there aren't that many places you can take the VERTIX and have it not record your exploits. If that wasn't enough, COROS engineers the watch to be waterproof down to 150 meters, a feat it claims makes it the only GPS watch capable of the depth. So never fear taking your watch on your next snorkeling trip.

Great watch!

I've owned my Coros Vertix for a little over a year now and love it. I have had Garmin and Suunto watches in the past and enjoyed them as well. But what sets this one apart, is the battery life. I can have it in normal watch mode and do workouts/runs 6 days a week and the watch battery will last around 2-1/2 weeks. That's amazing if you ask me! Also, I've been on multi-day backpacking trips and it's lasted the entire duration. I find the user interface to be easy to use and I enjoy the metrics it provides. I also like that Coros has made it a point to provide air-drop updates to all watches. So all watches have the most updated firmware. My only gripe about the watch is how they track active calories. It only records Active Calories based on workouts or if you have a cadence of greater than 130 steps/minute. So you don't get the most accurate snapshot of your calories burned over the course of the day. For me, the calories tracker is about 20% off from what it probably should be. But it's close enough. All in all, this is a phenomenal watch. I would encourage anyone to get it.
